How much daily protein do you actually need?
The most important word in that question is "you."
Therefore, your answer probably shouldn't come from the online supplement company trying to convince everyone they need to buy another super jumbo tub of French toast-flavored powder.
Protein needs vary based on factors like age, body size, activity level and health goals. So we created a protein calculator that provides a personalized estimate based on current peer-reviewed research ... check it out! https://www.toyourhealth360.com/up-your-protein-game/
Please note: this tool is designed for general educational purposes and is not intended to provide medical advice or to diagnose or treat any medical conditions.

The free tools will help you calculate your optimum daily protein target and find the foods to help you reach it.

A client said something today that stopped me cold…
“The worst part about not being able to lose weight… is that I feel so stupid.”
This was said by a smart, successful, highly capable woman.

And that’s what so many women believe when weight loss feels impossible.
They think the struggle means they lack discipline, willpower, intelligence, or motivation.
But that’s not the issue.
The issue is stress, hormones, exhaustion, old habits built around survival mode, and trying strategies that don’t fit real life.

If this sounds like you:
You are not failing.
You are not broken.
You are not stupid.
You just need a real-life strategy …

You’re not up at 1 AM wondering if weight loss medications work.

You already know they do.

What you’re really asking is:
• Why can other people do this without help?
• Am I giving up on doing this “the right way”?
• What happens when I stop?
• Will I lose muscle… not just weight?
That hesitation matters. And you need to ask these questions!

Because this isn’t just about getting smaller.

It’s about whether you’re building a body that actually supports you long-term.

GLP-1s can be a powerful tool.
But without a plan:
protein, strength training, structure

They don’t build health.

They just reduce weight.

And those are not the same thing.
The women who do best?
They don’t rely on the medication.
They make it part of a bigger plan.
If you’re considering it, don’t just decide yes or no.
Decide how you’re going to do it right.

This isn’t about fear or food shaming.
It’s about understanding the journey your food takes from corn on the cob to something that is salty, crunchy, glows an Oompa Loompa orange and keeps calling your name from the pantry.
It's about “ultra-processed” not just meaning packaged or convenient.
Once you understand the journey through “processed,” you might start to make different choices—without needing more willpower or stricter snacking rules.

You've probably heard the advice a hundred times: "Eat less processed food." But if you've ever stood in the grocery store aisle squinting at a nutrition label and thought, "What even is 'disodium inosinate'?" — you're not alone. The word "processed" gets thrown around a lot, but it actually cover...

FOOD DIARIES

Annoying. Overwhelming. And honestly… they usually DON’T WORK.
Not because you lack discipline.

Because the strategy behind them doesn’t hold up.

They weren’t designed for:
• your actual schedule
• your real life stress
• or the foods you actually enjoy

So, you track for a few days… maybe a week…
and then life happens.

And just like that, you’re back to starting over ... again.
Talk about unsustainable.

There’s a better way to do this, one that actually fits your life.

Hit FOLLOW if you’re done starting over every Monday…

Everyone wants to blame carbs.
Or hormones.
Or the idea that when you turn 40 (...or 50 or 60), it’s some kind of metabolic expiration date.
Meanwhile, muscle has likely been slowly declining for years.
Without enough muscle, weight loss gets harder, your metabolism slows, energy tanks, and everything feels like more effort than it should.
Here’s the real info on your midlife muscles.

You eat fairly well. You move your body. You've tried the step challenges, the walking programs, and the "this time I'm serious" Monday restarts. And yet — you're exhausted by mid-afternoon, the scale isn't budging, and your clothes fit differently than they did three years ago.

Today’s forecast: Heavy rain with a chance of soup.
Well, it looks like we’re not quite out of the winter freeze yet.
And judging by today’s monsoon, spring is taking its sweet time showing its warm, sunny face.
Perfect excuse to crank up the oven, roast up some vegetables, and serve up a big bowl of Butternut Squash Soup… then curl up on the couch with a cozy blanket and enjoy.

There's nothing like a warm bowl of hearty soup on a cold winter day. This recipe hits the spot with sweet, caramelized butternut squash, roasted garlic, and a swirl of nutty sage brown butter that makes every spoonful feel a little indulgent.
