Fall fun at the pumpkin patch! 🎃

These vases were recently donated by a family member and we decided to create a festive craft. The ladies decided to pick their favorite Halloween character to display in their apartments.

We served it up Texas-style at our Taste of San Antonio events.

Residents were transported to the cantina with queso and chips, chicken fajitas, ranch-style beans and Pico de Gallo. And don’t forget about dessert – we indulged in cinnamon-sugar-coated churros!

To top it off, we watched the modern Western, The Alamo.

"We always do things together as a team," shares Dale. "We always hold hands, and we never let the sun go down without reconciling after a disagreement."

Phyllis and Dale celebrated their anniversary at Atria Park of Vintage Hills, surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Whether he’s capturing towering trees, wild animals or the little details in everyday life, Stephen has a way of finding beauty everywhere he looks.

His love for photography also extends to collecting vintage cameras. Each camera in his collection at Atria Newport Beach represents a different chapter in the history of photography, from classic film cameras to the technology we use today.

For Stephen, photography is a chance to preserve a moment that might otherwise be gone in an instant. 🎞️

Meet Ozzy – and his human, Jefrrel – a four-legged member of the Atria San Juan family!

As Resident Services Director, Jefrrel oversees the community’s care departments and is especially passionate about working with residents living with dementia. She says she finds joy in understanding what they’re experiencing and helping them through both the challenges and the moments of joy.

And she has Ozzy, who helps her do just that.

The three-year-old Australian shepherd and trained service dog comes to work with Jeffrel and has quickly become a familiar face around the community. When residents see him, Jeffrel says, “They just brighten up.”

Ozzy can be especially helpful when a resident is having a difficult day. Jefrrel has seen how spending time with him can shift a resident’s mood and help them move toward something positive. He also brings plenty of joy to the team – and even the community’s visiting physician makes a point of seeing Ozzy on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“I love that he brings joy not just to the residents but also to the team,” Jefrrel says.

For Jefrrel, caring for residents is about understanding the person behind the challenges and finding opportunities for connection. Sometimes, that connection has four legs and a wagging tail. 🐾

We wanted to congratulate Domingo “June” Pascua for being an 2026 Exceptional Service Awardee. We want to share a little about what made him an exceptional candidate for this award. What stands out most about June is his willingness to help. Whether it is a resident or a fellow employee who needs assistance, he is approachable, dependable, and always willing to step in. He is well-liked by both residents and employees because of his positive attitude and the care he puts into work.

June is also always willing to learn and is an incredibly quick learner. In a short amount of time, he has shown that he is knowledgeable, hardworking, compassionate, and a true team player. His ability to adapt and support the community during a period of transition speaks highly of his work ethic and character. June has been a great addition to Valley View, and his commitment to our residents, employees, and community made him very deserving of the Exceptional Service Award.

Cupid’s arrow struck Al and Stella 74 years ago, and it’s been love ever since! ❤️

What is the key to such a long and happy marriage? "We spend a lot of quality time together," shares Stella. "And we give each other space to follow our individual passions."

The lovely couple recently celebrated their anniversary with friends and family at Atria Woodlands.

At Atria Park of Vintage Hills, Marsha's apartment is a testament to her SoCal lifestyle.

Marsha, an accomplished swimmer, and her late husband, Jerry, both grew up in La Jolla, where Jerry loved surfing, fishing, sailing and diving.

"He was a Seabee in the Navy and served in Vietnam," Marsha shares. He courageously rescued four Marines from drowning while surfing. "It earned him consideration for a Purple Heart."

Marsha keeps his surfboard proudly displayed in her apartment – a reminder of their life together and the adventures they shared.

Now, Marsha is creating new memories of her own at Atria Park of Vintage Hills in the sunshine of Temecula.

The Harvest Social Series was a success with pumpkin pie, apple strudel and spiced apple c***r for everyone to enjoy. Everyone enjoyed the fall-themed items and are excited to kick off this Fall season. We even discussed our favorite memories related to the Fall season. We are proud to share that we raised $800 for the Alzheimer’s Association. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us reach this milestone. Together, we are honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s, supporting their families, and walking for a cause.

Taste of the Carolinas was a success with the culinary team putting together a nice meal. The residents were sharing memories of visiting the Carolinas and how the menu brought back barbecue memories. Thank you to Syria for always putting on a good show.
