Blepharoplasty (Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery) is a relatively short, outpatient surgical procedure that contours the upper or lower eyelids by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat. It corrects hooded upper eyelids and under-eye bags, with the goal of providing a more rested appearance. When excess skin is obstructing the visual field before surgery, blepharoplasty provides improved peripheral vision.
