Some announcements are bigger than filling a position. This one is about seeing a vision come to life.
From the very beginning, we set out to build Uplift Home Care Walnut Creek differently. We believe that if you invest in caregivers, support them, and encourage them, they become even better equipped to care for the families who trust us every day. Today, that vision takes another step forward.
We're super excited to announce that one of our exceptional caregivers, Candiss Coleman, will be stepping into the role of Care Coordinator at Uplift Home Care.
Before considering outside candidates, we first looked within our own team because we know the caliber of people already serving our clients. Every day we see their professionalism, their leadership, their problem solving, and the emotional investment this work requires. Caregiving isn't just a job to us. It's both a high calling and one of the most demanding professions there is. We believe the people who do this important work deserve opportunities to grow into new ways of leading and serving.
What makes this promotion so special is that Candiss will be supporting caregivers because she's been one herself. She understands the early mornings, the changing schedules, the emotional moments, and the everyday victories that often go unseen. As our Care Coordinator, she'll be coaching and encouraging caregivers, partnering closely with clients and their families to ensure exceptional care, and building relationships throughout our community with the same authenticity that has made her so beloved by the people she serves.
Long before she joined Uplift, Candiss spent decades caring for her own family while also managing a career in banking. When life led her into full-time caregiving, she brought with her not only her polished banker professionalism but also something that's difficult to teach: genuine warmth that instantly make people feel at ease. Over nearly a year, she has become the kind of caregiver families never forget.
In her current assignment, Candiss exemplifies everything high quality caregiving should be. She anticipates needs before they're spoken, communicates proactively with the family, notices all the little details, and brings confidence and joy into the home day after day. Those are the qualities that make her an amazing caregiver, and they're the same qualities that will make her a successful Care Coordinator.
