Last week was an interesting one. I got a phone from a female patient asking for health maintenance services. She also told me that she is 36 Weeks pregnant and asked me if I have done a Webster Technique. I told her I haven't done it for a while. I asked, do u have a breech baby? She said yes. So she came in.
She stated that she was 36 weeks pregnant. Babies usually flip head down at about 30 weeks. She also stated that she had tried few therapies to help the baby turn but no luck. So I told her I can not guarantee but I will do my very best. I always try under promise and over deliver. I examined her pelvic griddle, her hip joints along with her round ligaments. I did a very simple pelvic adjustment, work on the round ligaments and some stretching.
Her treatment appointment was Friday with me. Her next ultrasound was the following Monday. She was scheduled to see me on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning, her doctor called her and informed her that her baby flip downward from her latest ultrasound. Her and her husband were extremely happy and avoided a C-Section.
I am really happy for her family and the result could have been coincidental or it was the balancing of the pelvic and release the round ligament tension. Either way, it was great seeing happy patient.
