Steven Allen “Steve” Market, 64, of Arlington, Ohio, passed away 6:30 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2026, at his home with his partner, Sterling Silva, at his side. He was born December 17, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Jerry F. and Rita M.(Stroh) Market.
Survivors include,
Sterling Silva, Arlington, Ohio,
2 children,
8 grandchildren including, Alexis, Jayden,
Tristan, Gavin, Khloe,
Brooklyn;
a great granddaughter, Elaina;
a sister, Julie A. (Rick) Naus, Columbus, Ohio,
a brother and best friend, Dennis A. Market, Columbus, Ohio.
Steve was preceded in death by his son.
Steve worked as a truck driver delivering John Deere equipment. He was a graduate of Northland High School, Columbus, and was of the Catholic faith. Steve enjoyed live music and played the bass guitar. He also enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, tinkering, and working in the yard. He was a champion darter and competed nationally and international. Steve was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Father Ethan Hoying officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., Friday, September 4, at the funeral home. Ruth E. Brown 89, of Wapakoneta, passed away 1:51 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2026, at Wapakoneta Manor, with her family at her side. She was born September 3, 1936, in Yorkshire, OH, the daughter of the late Aloys and Helen (Gaier) Poeppelman. On June 14, 1961, she married Paul B. Brown, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2013.

Charles Daryl Dorsten, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. He was born on February 21, 1940, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, to Florence and Charles Dorsten.
At the age of 12, Daryl discovered his lifelong passion for radios and electronics, encouraged by his uncle and grandfather. His natural curiosity and mechanical ability led him to begin building radios on his own. Remarkably, at just 12 years old, he began his first job at Radio Hospital in Wapakoneta, where he continued developing the skills that would shape his career.
Daryl attended St. Joseph Catholic High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships and graduated with the Class of 1957. He proudly served three years in the United States Army, including 13 months in Korea as part of post-war occupational support.
Following his military service, Daryl began his professional career in electronics, first working for Weisner Brothers Commercial Communications and later at Crown Control in New Bremen, Ohio. On June 30, 1962, he married his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Storer. Together, they raised three sons: Daniel Charles, Jeffrey Fitzgerald, and Douglas Christopher.
Daryl went on to build a distinguished career as a civil servant, working with radar and communications systems at Newark Air Force Base in Newark, Ohio. His career then took him to Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where he worked on missile launch systems, followed by assignments at Grand Forks Air Force...
