Good evening, everyone.

As many of you may already know, Jerry was diagnosed with throat cancer a little over a month and a half ago. He discovered a small lump on the side of his neck while shaving and mentioned it to his primary care physician. After several appointments and tests, it was determined to be cancer.

Thankfully, it was caught early. We explored several treatment options, but ultimately surgery was not the best choice for his situation. The good news is that the type of cancer he has typically responds very well to chemotherapy and radiation.

Jerry began his treatments this afternoon. Over the next seven weeks, he will receive radiation treatments five days a week and chemotherapy one day each week. Through it all, Jerry has remained positive and determined. We truly believe that, by the grace of God, he will be cancer-free in the months ahead.

We have been overwhelmed by the love and support so many of you have shown through your prayers, cards, phone calls, texts, and messages. Jerry wants you to know that he feels your prayers and encouragement each day.

Please keep the prayers coming. They mean more than words can express.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, kindness, and support. It truly means the world to our family.
