We want to wish Jerome a very happy birthday! 🥳
It was technically on the 7th, but he was out celebrating with his family so we celebrated him today. Two of his beautiful daughters also joined him for lunch today.

He chose fried chicken, french fries and for dessert he wanted peach pie with ice cream!

Happy Birthday to our Patti! She got an epic surprise for her birthday, she was joined for lunch by her daughter Nancy, and her niece who lives in Austin, Texas; Tara! She chose Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Green Beans, and Apple Pie á la Mode to enjoy for her birthday lunch!
Wishing Patti a very happy birthday today and to enjoy her birthday weekend celebrating with her family and friends, especially her niece Tara while she’s in town!

We have some awesome activities the residents have participated in this last week!
They did some baking; they made a banana pudding for a dessert for dinner. They made beaded necklaces/bracelets from a whole bunch of different types of beads. They divided into 2 teams to work on their aim with balloon darts. They had a seashell flower craft that they made with beads, while a couple of them tackled another puzzle. They played ball toss, where they worked on their throwing skills into cups for points. And last but not least, they painted some flat rocks; they each were following another painting but they were making this with their own spin!
They have been busy lately, but you bet they are always having fun!!

Waterpark Day!
We had a wonderful morning of cooler weather to stay inside this morning and play bingo! Then we had a warm afternoon to get wet and play in the water! The residents got to throw water balloons at each other and the staff, and they each had their own water gun to splash around as well!
We had a couple of residents that started by not wanting to get wet… and we see how the afternoon went! What a wonderful day to be outside and to have some fun!
And lookout Donna Johnson, you’re never safe when your mom is around water!

Happy Birthday to our Mary Ann! Her birthday was yesterday, but she went out to eat lunch with her family to celebrate her day! Today, she picked to have Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Cauliflower, a Side Salad, and Ice Cream for her lunch at the facility. She was joined for lunch by some of her closest friends, Jim and Lanette Forck, and her family provided the ice cream everyone enjoyed for dessert today!
Wishing Mary Ann a very Happy Birthday and to enjoy her birthday weekend!

The residents had a couple of surprise guests this afternoon, they got to enjoy some live music! We had the pleasure of meeting and watching a couple of Bonnie’s great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Ezekiel, play the piano and sing a few songs. They each played their own pieces and ended the afternoon playing a song together!
And to make the day even more wonderful, they got to spend it wearing their pajamas! They request pajama day often, so what better day to wear them than on a Monday!
Thank you to Donna Johnson for bringing out your grandchildren to perform today while they could sit comfy in their jammies!

Happy Birthday to our Lorraine! She was joined for lunch today by two of her grandchildren, Taylor and Lexi! She picked to have Fried Chicken (legs by choice), Baked Sweet Potatoes, Mac & Cheese, and a Strawberry Pie w/ Whipped Cream! Delicious!
She has enjoyed her week so far by receiving several birthday cards from family and friends, and is spending her afternoon playing different card games with her buddies!

Happy Birthday to our Jeannette! Her birthday was actually Saturday, and she spent the whole day celebrating with her family! Today she picked Fried Fish, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Green Beans, and a Coconut Cake for her birthday lunch! Very yummy!
We are wishing Jeannette a very Happy Birthday today and hope she has a wonderful afternoon celebrating some more with her family!

We want to share a big thank you to Thomas (Tom) Volmert for coming out to sing and play the guitar for the residents and staff. He played some of their favorite songs and was taking requests for what they wanted to hear!
They absolutely love getting to hear live music and are already asking the next time he’s coming back!
Thank you Tom, his wife Betty, and his daughter Michelle for coming out on Sunday to play for us!

Our residents have been loaded with fun activities lately! They’ve put together several puzzles either working together or working at their own time. They’ve practiced their mini golf skills while playing inside, next step is going to an actual course! They played balloon volleyball this week, where they were on two teams and they could not let the balloon touch the floor or the other team would get a point. What a good arm workout! They played Dominoes this afternoon, and lookout for Lorraine, she is an absolute pro!
And between Eunice and Mary Ann, I bet that puzzle will be almost done or completely done by this evening!
