We want to give a big thank you to Immanuel Lutheran Honey Creek for sharing their delicious turkey & sausage dinner with us! The residents and staff absolutely loved the meal! They enjoyed Turkey Loaf, Sausage, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Green Beans, Stuffing, and Pie!

The residents have been in their fall season of activities; they decorated pumpkins with some fun stickers and got crafty with decorating pumpkins with colored paper which turned out super cute!

And we wanted to post how cute this group picture is; we had a group of ladies come visit some of our residents that are from the same area and they wore matching t-shirts! How cute are they!

Please stop by to see us on Halloween! The residents have the cutest costumes and look forward to handing out candy to all the little ones!

The residents have had some fun activities lately! They played Shoot the Scarecrow, made some bats out of popsicle sticks and put together some acorns with quotes on them that are now hanging around the facility!
They had a really cool activity yesterday, Shep came up with Color Sort, or in Dotty’s terms Triple B, where they worked on both their sensory and fine motor skills. They each had 3 levels of sorting colored beads, buttons, and balls into their matching colored bottle. They ended up working as a team to help each other sort instead of having a competition! They are too cute!
And a big thank you to Busch’s for bringing us some beautiful flowers to display around our living room this week! They certainly brighten up your day!

It is fall time around here at the facility! The residents have been getting crafty lately with making magnetic scarecrows, cloth ghosts, and coloring fall themed pictures! They had a resident choice day where some worked on a puzzle, worked on diamond art pieces, and did I spy word searches! Today, they had a meditation session in which the sun came out just as they were getting started outside!
We want to thank Mary Ann’s niece, Carol, for donating the facility some beautiful flowers in such unique little vases!
Come out to visit your loved ones to hear about their fun activities and to see all the fall decorations around the facility!

LUAU!
Today we had our yearly Auburn Ridge Luau! We hoped to party outside, but the weather isn’t quite cooperating with anyone right now.
The residents each had their picture taken with the help of Tina getting each one a hoola skirt and a matching lei! They enjoyed some homemade non-alcoholic Pina Coladas while playing Pin the Flower, Hawaiian Hangman, and Hot Potato with a Lei! The residents that have been to Hawaii shared what they remember about being there and if they recommended visiting. (Yes they do!)
Jess made a delicious lunch; Pulled Pork, Potato Salad, Fresh Fruit, and Pineapple Upside Down Mini Cakes! Yummy!
What a fun day and a wonderful way to spend a Friday!

We want to wish Jerome a very happy birthday! 🥳
It was technically on the 7th, but he was out celebrating with his family so we celebrated him today. Two of his beautiful daughters also joined him for lunch today.

He chose fried chicken, french fries and for dessert he wanted peach pie with ice cream!

Happy Birthday to our Patti! She got an epic surprise for her birthday, she was joined for lunch by her daughter Nancy, and her niece who lives in Austin, Texas; Tara! She chose Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Green Beans, and Apple Pie á la Mode to enjoy for her birthday lunch!
Wishing Patti a very happy birthday today and to enjoy her birthday weekend celebrating with her family and friends, especially her niece Tara while she’s in town!

We have some awesome activities the residents have participated in this last week!
They did some baking; they made a banana pudding for a dessert for dinner. They made beaded necklaces/bracelets from a whole bunch of different types of beads. They divided into 2 teams to work on their aim with balloon darts. They had a seashell flower craft that they made with beads, while a couple of them tackled another puzzle. They played ball toss, where they worked on their throwing skills into cups for points. And last but not least, they painted some flat rocks; they each were following another painting but they were making this with their own spin!
They have been busy lately, but you bet they are always having fun!!

Waterpark Day!
We had a wonderful morning of cooler weather to stay inside this morning and play bingo! Then we had a warm afternoon to get wet and play in the water! The residents got to throw water balloons at each other and the staff, and they each had their own water gun to splash around as well!
We had a couple of residents that started by not wanting to get wet… and we see how the afternoon went! What a wonderful day to be outside and to have some fun!
And lookout Donna Johnson, you’re never safe when your mom is around water!
