Today there was a Facebook post critical of the pride decor in our office. I generally do not respond to social media criticism, but felt it was important to do so in this instance.
Our practice's recognition of Pride Month is about ensuring that all children, families, and staff feel welcomed, respected, and safe. Pediatric care is centered on supporting the health and well-being of every child, regardless of their background or family structure. Celebrating inclusion does not diminish our commitment to providing excellent medical care—it reflects it.
