The Employee Engagement Committee is thrilled to share that Gosnold's newest Values Hero (this one for September) is Jillian Gauvin, Outpatient Intake Coordinator. đź‘Ź Jillian previously worked for Gosnold as an Administrative Assistant in our Plymouth Partial Hospital Program and rejoined the organization early this year in this new and expanded role (we love to see growth at Gosnold!).
Nominated by her manager, Alex Curcuru, Director of Outpatient Admissions, he explains beautifully not only the value of Jillian's presence, but also the importance of her role in ensuring patients are supported in navigating the complexities of healthcare and securing needed outpatient placements. I would like to nominate Jillian Gauvin for September Value’s Hero. Jillian has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, empathy, and professionalism in her role as intake worker for our outpatient referrals. Stepping into the intake role means being the very first point of contact for individuals and families that are sometimes in crisis, a position that requires both caring and compassion. Jillian navigates this with remarkable grace every single day.
Answering the phone for Gosnold can be very demanding. Callers are sometimes overwhelmed, frightened, or standing at a critical crossroads in their lives. Jillian approaches every phone interaction with active listening, zero judgment, and an immediate sense of calm and reassurance.
Her attention to detail reduces drop-off rates between the initial inquiry and the first appointment, ensuring that no patient slips through the cracks during their moment of vulnerability. Her performance was so good that she soon assumed the task of accepting referrals for our MID program. Jillian was unphased by this increased responsibility and assumed this new role accountablility seamlessly.
Jillian’s positive energy, reliability, and unwavering commitment to our mission make her an invaluable employee for our outpatient department. She is very deserving of Values Hero recognition for her significant contributions to Gosnold and the clients we serve.
