So the home we had fell through, so she is back up for adoption. We would like her to go to a permanent indoor home. Once kittens are ready to go, we will place them on our page and in our lobby to help you place them. We will give you a 10% discount on mom's spay once the kittens are weaned. She has had her rabies shot but will need her FVRCP once the kittens have been born. The cat is very sweet and never stops purring. She is at Houston Lake Animal Hospital currently if you would like to meet her.

We have a bit of an emergency placement. This sweet girl was found as a stray by a client. She is about 7 months old and pregnant with 2 to 3 kittens. We need someone who is willing to give her a home and raise the kittens to weaning age. We can help place the kittens but no guarantees! Right now this little girl is living outside. She needs someone safe and warm to give birth.

Today's theme is old folks. We hope y'all have been having as much fun with this as we have!

If ever you needed another reason to spay your dog here it is.

Pyometra is a killer.

I have just researched this and it is scary as hell. In this girl, undergoing heartworm treatment and on steroids her symptoms were easily explained until her tummy expanded with the infection nearly overnight.

She spent 2 days at the emergency vet and another at our vet. IV antibiotics, pain and other meds and emergency surgery which was extremely dangerous due to her heartworms.

We had no choice. We had to risk the dangers of surgery on a heavy heartworm positive dog to hopefully save her life.

Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center was amazing and they succeeded in saving this sweet girl. So huge thanks to them!

This whole scary, expensive, life threatening ordeal could have been avoided if she had been spayed. Spay and neuter saves lives. And not just those of unwanted babies left on the side of a road to die.

Please, spay and neuter your pets. Have a heart. Save a life.❤️
