In the 1950s, it was clear to the citizens of Trumbull County that there was an increasing need to provide specialized services for children of the community with special needs. Area Rotary Clubs stepped forward to join the growing movement to do something about it. Taylor Rehabilitati

on Center. The original facility was located in a small home on Laird Ave. in Warren, Ohio, near Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
​The founders’ understanding of the need became immediately apparent as the Center quickly grew and became an important resource for families with special needs children. This growth sent the board on a hunt for a larger space capable of handling more children and offering more programs. They found that facility in 1969 in Howland where it remains to this day. In 1971 the Center was renamed Children’s Rehabilitation Center. In order to meet an increasing demand for childcare and preschool programs, Kids Garden was opened in 2010. Today the Center continues to offer physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy programs, and our Kids Garden Program.

The Warren Family Mission is excited to help local students get ready for a successful school year!

Join us on Friday, August 7th, for our annual Backpack & School Supply Distribution for children in grades K–12.

🕛 Registration: 12:00 PM
🕐 Distribution Begins: 1:00 PM
📍 Location: 155 Tod Ave NW, Warren, OH 44485

We will be giving away 350 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in our community!

Please bring:
✅ Parent/Guardian Photo ID
✅ Birth Certificate for each child
✅ Medical cards
⚠️ Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
🍕 Plus, enjoy FREE pizza and ice cream!

Many thanks to the Howland Professional Firefighters Local 2786 for all of the hard work put into hosting their awesome 28th (!!!) Annual Golf Outing, the proceeds of which benefit the Center. Mike Kopper, of Matthews Aurora Funeral Solutions, again visited the NEO Children’s Rehabilitation Center and presented staff with a $1,000 check on behalf of the Matthews Children’s Foundation! Funds will be used for our Rehabilitation Programs. The presentation was the result of a much-appreciated Matthews Children’s Foundation Grant.
