Today we are proud to celebrate Paul Kushner and an incredible 47 years of dedication to Kinzua Nursing & Rehab!

Paul has been a valued part of our team for nearly five decades, serving residents with care, compassion, and plenty of laughter along the way. Having started when our facility was known as Grandview, he has witnessed many changes over the years while remaining a constant source of hard work, reliability, and positivity.

Paul's sense of humor and commitment to those he serves have made a lasting impact on residents, families, and coworkers alike. Thank you, Paul, for 47 years of excellence and for being such an important part of the Kinzua family. Congratulations on this remarkable milestone!

A big thank you to our own Chelsea and Karen for spending time with our residents planting seeds and getting the vegetable garden started 🌱💛 Our residents loved the fresh air, sunshine, and hands-on time outdoors, and they’re excited to watch their garden grow throughout the season.

We also want to extend a special thank you to Carl Groshe and Bill Foreman for their help and support in making this project possible.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are grateful for their courage, service, and dedication, and we hold their memory close today and always.

For International HR Day, we are proud to recognize Carrie Skidmore, HR Director/Scheduling Coordinator at Kinzua Nursing & Rehab!

Although Carrie has been with Kinzua for 5 months, she has already made a positive impact through her dedication and support for employees. Her journey into Human Resources began when a previous HR Director encouraged her to step into an HR Assistant role, and she has loved the field ever since.

Carrie’s favorite part of her job is connecting with employees and helping them in any way she can. What she enjoys most about working in healthcare is the teamwork and support from her coworkers, who are always willing to lend a helping hand.

She says one thing people may not realize about working in HR is just how much happens behind the scenes each day. Her coworkers describe her as prideful, funny, and a great listener.

One accomplishment Carrie is especially proud of is earning several HR certifications that she worked very hard to achieve.

Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.

Thank you, Carrie, for everything you do for the Kinzua team!

We celebrated a special baby shower for Rachel at Kinzua Nursing & Rehab! 💕 We’re so excited for her as she gets ready to welcome her little one and loved being able to celebrate this moment with her. It also happened to be Decades Day… so yes, even Tesla showed up in a poodle skirt for the occasion. 😄

Crazy Hat Day at Kinzua Nursing & Rehab was a hit! 🎩✨ Residents got creative decorating their own hats, then we took the fun on the road with a parade around the building. Lots of laughs, creativity, and great energy all around!

Our National Skilled Nursing Care Week celebration continued with a tropical Beach Day Luau! 🌺☀️ Residents and staff enjoyed island-inspired fun, festive decorations, and plenty of smiles as we brought a little paradise to our community. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of the joy, laughter, and connections that continue to bloom throughout the week.

Our National Skilled Nursing Care Week celebration is officially underway! 🌸 As we celebrate this year’s “Moments in Bloom” theme, we kicked off the week with a beautiful Garden Day. Residents spent the morning planting flowers before enjoying an afternoon garden party complete with a flower bar and refreshing lemonade.

We are looking forward to a week full of fun, laughter, and special moments shared together as we celebrate the flourishing spirit, friendships, and sense of community that make our home so special. 💐

Our Memory Care Mother’s Day Brunch was a wonderful celebration of the mothers in our community. 💕 We truly appreciate our amazing staff for helping bring it all together.
