North Valley Health Center EMS had a spooktacular time at Our Savior's Lutheran Church Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 25th!

Representing NVHC EMS were Kelly Helm, EMR, and Heather Moreno, EMT, who were ready to hand out treats and enjoy some Halloween fun with our community.

They were joined by Nicole Steien, FNP-C, and her oh-so-cute crew of little trick or treaters, Mabel (5), Dottie (3), and Perry (1)! We're pretty sure these little pumpkins may have stolen the show! 🎃

A big THANK YOU to Our Savior's Lutheran Church for hosting such a fun event and giving our community a chance to come together, show off those creative costumes, and fill up on plenty of Halloween treats!🍬🍭

Saturday convenience care clinics are held every 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟵 𝗮𝗺 - 𝟭𝟮 𝗽𝗺 (unless otherwise posted)! This service is for walk-in patients only, and patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. These walk-in Saturday morning clinic hours are for non-urgent, acute care patients (ex. those experiencing a cough, sore throat, UTI, sore arm, etc.).

Questions? Give us a call at 𝟮𝟭𝟴-𝟳𝟰𝟱-𝟰𝟮𝟭𝟭. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.

💜𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 💜

Domestic violence doesn't always leave visible bruises. It can look like fear, control, isolation, threats, manipulation, or constantly walking on eggshells. And it can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or financial situation.

This month we're shining a light on domestic violence and reminding the NVHC community that help is available, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲, and you deserve to feel safe.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please know that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. A trusted family member, healthcare provider, advocate, or local resource can be the first step toward safety.

💖 What a night!💖
A HUGE thank you to everyone in our community who came out to spend the evening with us at our Annual Ladies' Night Out Breast Cancer Awareness event.

Thank you to The Silo Boutique and Stevie Ann for putting on such a fun and fabulous fashion show! You ladies brought the runway to Ladies' Night Out and gave us a peek at all the gorgeous new fall fashions! Pretty sure we've all created a long wish list to shop with.

Thank you to the healthcare providers for sharing their knowledge and spoke about important women's health issues. Your willingness to educate and encourage women to take charge of their health is so important.

And a very special thank you to our brave survivor, Joyce, for having the courage to share her cancer journey with all of us. Your story, honesty and strength touched many hearts. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of hope, early detection, support and never facing the journey alone.

Thank you to our community for continuing to show up, support one another and help us shine a light on breast cancer awareness.

Until next year ladies...keep supporting, keep laughing, keep encouraging one another, and keep those mammograms on the calendar!

𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐚
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is reporting an increase in measles cases across the state. Since mid-September, 25 cases have been confirmed in Todd and Fillmore Counties, bringing Minnesota's total to 42 cases in 2026. All 25 recent cases involved individuals who were unvaccinated.

Measles is highly contagious and can cause serious complications, especially in young children and individuals with weakened immune systems.

The best protection against measles is vaccination. The measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine is safe and highly effective. Two doses provide approximately 97% protection against measles.

𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 encourages residents to check their family's vaccination records and make sure everyone is up to date. If you are unsure of your vaccination status, contact your healthcare provider or local public health department.

If you develop symptoms of measles, including fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash, call your healthcare provider before visiting a clinic to help prevent further spread.
