I was honored to be recognized among the top 5 finalists for DPC Physician of the Year for 2026. A huge congratulations to Dr. Michelle Cooke of Sol Direct Primary Care who took home the award and is doing amazing things for her community in Atlanta! 🎉

When I started Prosperity a little over 5 years ago, DPC still felt like the road less traveled. Now there are more practices every year, reaching more patients who had almost given up on the idea that their doctor could actually know them. This movement is gathering real momentum with better tools and a deeper community passing hard won wisdom from the physicians who went first to the ones just finding their footing.

None of this happens alone. I’m only here because of colleagues who shared what they’d learned and patients willing to take a chance on something new. Just as no physician builds a practice alone, no one builds a healthy life alone. Real health comes from a whole community, not from one doctor.

I’ve been dreaming all along about what it looks like to bring that kind of whole person care together in one place. Stay tuned 🌱

Friday afternoon fun: 🪡 Jennifer Lowe, DPT dry needling in the office today.

Dry needling involves inserting very thin needles into tight, irritated muscle “trigger points” to release tension, calm pain signals, and activate your body’s natural healing response. Electrical stimulation can be added to help with neuromuscular retraining. It’s not acupuncture, though they use the same needles. This is a physical therapy technique grounded in anatomy and neuromuscular science.

For folks dealing with acute injury recovery (like me 💪), chronic muscle tightness, nagging joint pain, headaches, or that one stubborn knot that just won’t quit, dry needling can be a gamechanger when added to stretching and strengthening.

An afternoon dip for Bear, and a big broccoli harvest for dinner 👩‍🌾🥦

After a wild start to the year, I’m more grateful than ever for the little things. And also the big things, like the wonderful community that I’ve found myself in, and my patients, whose trust and belief in me have made it possible to practice medicine authentically in an increasingly noisy healthcare world.

Ya’ll these guys do not quit. I have been getting these flyers FedExed to my office every few months since I opened 5 years ago. “The Wealth of Wellness” - might as well call it “Grift Academy.” If you were wondering why you’re seeing so many places popping up offering treatments to solve all the tough parts of being human in our modern world - it’s this. Maximizing profits, creating passive revenue streams, attracting “high value” patients. Go to the course, leave a “more profitable version of yourself.” 🤢

Consider this a friendly reminder that “wellness” is a completely unregulated word that means absolutely nothing, and someone is absolutely cashing in on that.
