THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026
Issue #034
Good morning, friends.
While the coffee was brewing and my eggs were frying this morning, I found myself thinking about how often we adjust ourselves to make everyone else comfortable.
We soften what we really want to say.
We hold back an idea.
We don't raise our hand.
Sometimes we even make ourselves a little smaller so someone else doesn't feel uncomfortable with us taking up too much room.
And somewhere along the way, we can get so good at doing it that we don't even realize we're doing it anymore. 😂
Yesterday we talked about coming back to yourself.
Maybe today is about what happens once you get there.
Because there's a difference between needing to be the center of attention and simply being willing to stand comfortably in your own space.
You don't have to be louder.
You don't have to prove anything.
And you certainly don't have to push somebody else out of the way.
Maybe you simply stop stepping out of your own way.
Say what you mean.
Share the idea.
Let yourself be seen.
And trust that the people who belong beside you don't need you to become smaller so they can feel bigger.
Where might you be making yourself smaller than you need to be?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2026
Issue #033
Good morning, friends.
While the coffee was brewing and my eggs were frying this morning, I found myself thinking about how easy it is to start the week already belonging to everybody else.
The phone starts.
The messages start.
The list starts growing.
And before we've even figured out what kind of day we're having, we're already responding to what everybody else needs. 😂
Today has an interesting feel to it. The morning seems a little quieter and more inward, while later in the day the energy begins to come back outward. That's reflected in the sky too—the waning Moon begins Monday in Cancer before moving into Leo around 12:49 PM Eastern.
And maybe there's something useful in that.
Before you decide what you're going to do for everyone else this week...
Come back to yourself for a minute.
What do you need?
What have you been feeling that you haven't really stopped long enough to notice?
And what part of yourself may have gotten pushed to the bottom of the list lately?
Especially on a Labor Day Monday, maybe we don't need to come flying out of the gate trying to prove how productive we can be.
Maybe today is simply about remembering who is actually living your life before the week gets busy again.
Where might you need to come back to yourself today?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — WEEKEND EDITION
September 5–6, 2026 | Issue #032
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, this weekend felt like one of those times when what we're feeling and what we do about it may be two different things.
Saturday feels like a good day to enjoy what's around you and let things settle a little.
Have the conversation. Get outside. Spend time with people you enjoy—or don't. 😂
But if something starts feeling different later in the day, maybe you don't have to immediately figure out what it means.
Just notice it.
Sunday brings a little more fire.
Something that was sitting quietly in the background may suddenly feel like it needs a response.
And maybe it does.
But there's a difference between responding because something is clear and reacting because something got under your skin.
So maybe that's the practice this weekend:
Saturday — feel it.
Sunday — choose your response.
You don't have to act on every feeling just because it's real.
Sometimes giving yourself a little space between what you feel and what you do next is where the choice actually lives.
What might be worth sitting with before you decide how to respond?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2026
Issue #031
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, I found myself thinking about how sometimes we don't realize something has changed until we respond differently than we used to.
Same kind of situation.
Same button gets pushed.
Same opportunity to fall into the old pattern.
And then...
you don't.
Maybe you pause before answering.
Maybe something that would have ruined your whole afternoon only gets five minutes today. 😂
Maybe you simply realize, I don't need to do this the same way anymore.
Those moments can be easy to miss because they don't always feel like some big breakthrough.
Sometimes they're actually pretty quiet.
But maybe that's worth noticing today.
After everything this week has asked us to look at—what supports us, what we're pushing against, where our energy is going, and what we're still choosing—Friday may give us an opportunity to notice what we're already doing differently.
You don't always have to see how far you still have to go.
Every once in a while, it's worth looking back and realizing:
Damn. I don't respond to that the way I used to.
Where are you beginning to notice a different response in yourself?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2026
Issue #030
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, I found myself thinking about how easy it is to keep doing something simply because we've already put so much into it.
Time. Energy. Money. Maybe a few sleepless nights. 😂
And somewhere along the way, all that investment can become the reason we keep going—even when something is starting to tell us it may need to change.
Today feels like a good day to separate commitment from attachment.
Commitment says:
This still matters to me, so I'm willing to work with it.
Attachment says:
I've already come this far, so I have to keep going.
Those aren't always the same thing.
You don't have to throw everything away because something needs to change.
But you also don't have to keep feeding something simply because you've already fed it.
Maybe today is about looking at what's in front of you as it is now, rather than through everything you've already invested in getting here.
What are you still choosing—and what are you simply having a hard time letting go of?

This morning, this deck reached out to me because it had something to say.

I asked for a simple three-card reading—not about predicting what is going to happen, but about the energy we seem to be moving through, both collectively and individually.

What came forward was:

37 — Antelope: Action
9 — Butterfly: Transformation
Dream Catcher — Inverted

And together, they told an interesting story.

Antelope says it is time to move.

There are times when we gather information, contemplate, prepare, and wait. Then there comes a point when knowing is no longer enough. Something asks us to act.

Then comes Butterfly and Transformation.

Think about the lesson of the caterpillar.

Before the caterpillar entered its transformation, it had no concept of what it would be like to fly. Its entire experience of the world came through crawling, climbing, and walking on what was beneath it.

Then transformation begins.

The old body no longer works the way it once did, but the wings aren't ready yet either.

And that may be one of the hardest places in transformation to find ourselves.

The old way no longer works, while the new way hasn't fully formed.

How could the caterpillar understand flying when its entire life experience has been based upon having legs instead of wings?

Yet once it emerges as the butterfly, going back to crawling is no longer the answer either.

Maybe that is where many of us find ourselves today—individually and collectively.

Our wings are growing.

Some of the things that worked in the past don't seem to work anymore, but we can't completely see or understand what comes next because we've never had wings before.

And then came the inverted Dream Catcher.

From my years of coaching people through change, I see this struggle constantly:

We try to create the future while filtering it through the lens of the past.

We want to understand what comes next based upon what came before. We hold onto old definitions of success, security, relationships, work, spirituality, money, institutions—even who we believe we are.

But what if the old lens can no longer show us where we're going?

That doesn't mean throwing away the wisdom of the past.

It means releasing the expectation that what will be must look like what was.

Look around us. Technology, economics, relationships, institutions, spirituality, communication, and even our understanding of ourselves are changing incredibly quickly.

Perhaps these three cards are offering a very simple thought:

Act.
Allow the transformation.
Stop requiring the future to resemble the past.

The past brought us here.

It doesn't necessarily get to decide where we go next.

So today's Thought Catalyst is this:

Do you find yourself trying to crawl because that's what you've always known—or are you frustrated because you're trying to fly while your wings are still growing?

Maybe you don't need to go backward.

And maybe you don't need to fly just yet.

Maybe you're simply in the part where the wings are growing.

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026
Issue #029
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, I kept thinking about how easy it is to mistake movement for progress.
We can stay busy all day.
Answer the emails. Make the calls. Fix one thing, jump to another, and somehow end the day wondering what we actually accomplished. 😂
Today may be one of those days when there's plenty pulling at our attention.
But maybe the question isn't:
How much can I get done?
Maybe it's:
What actually deserves to move forward today?
Not everything that's asking for your attention deserves the same amount of your energy.
Sometimes progress comes from doing more.
Sometimes it comes from choosing one thing that matters and giving it enough attention to actually move.
So before the day starts running you, take a look at where you're putting your energy.
What's one thing worth moving forward today?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2026
Issue #028
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, I found myself thinking about how quickly we assume resistance means something isn't working.
We push on something and it doesn't move.
We try again and still nothing.
And before long we're ready to call the whole thing a bad idea. 😂
But maybe resistance isn't always a stop sign.
Sometimes it may simply be asking us to slow down long enough to notice what we're pushing against.
Do I need to push harder?
Change my approach?
Or maybe this really is something I need to stop pushing altogether?
Those are three very different answers.
Maybe today isn't about forcing anything.
It's simply about noticing what the resistance is showing you.
Where might resistance be asking you to look a little closer today?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2026
Issue #027
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, I found myself thinking about how often we ask for more without thinking about what comes with it.
More opportunity. More business. More responsibility. More growth.
Then it starts showing up and suddenly we're wondering how the hell we're supposed to handle all of it. 😂
Maybe today isn't about doing more.
Maybe it's about looking at what you've already built and asking:
Can this support where I'm trying to go next?
Sometimes growth isn't asking us to work harder. It may simply be showing us where something needs to become stronger, simpler, or better supported.
No judgment. Just something to notice.
What might you strengthen today to make a little more room for tomorrow?

THE DAILY ALIGNMENT — WEEKEND EDITION
August 29–30, 2026 | Issue #026
Good morning, friends.
While my eggs were frying and the coffee was brewing, this weekend felt like two very different gears.
Saturday says: don't rush to make sense of everything.
If this week stirred something up, let it settle. Not every realization needs an immediate decision, conversation or action.
Then Sunday brings more fire.
You may feel ready to move again—but there's a difference between moving because you're clear and moving because you're uncomfortable sitting still.
So maybe that's the practice this weekend:
Saturday — listen.
Sunday — choose.
Give yourself enough quiet to hear what this week actually taught you.
Then decide what deserves your energy going forward.
You don't have to drag the whole week with you just because you learned from it.
What are you letting settle before you decide what comes next?
