Why does the story of Aragorn resonate so deeply with people?
Because deep down…
we recognize the story.
The heart was meant to lead.
The heart is the king.
But many of us have been dethroned by:
the nafs
ego
fear
desires
whispers
distraction
And the spiritual journey is the struggle to reclaim the throne.
This reminder explores:
the heart in Islam
the battle against the nafs
spiritual psychology
inner jihad
symbolism in storytelling
Lord of the Rings through a spiritual lens
Aragorn represents:
humility
courage
service
virtue
rightful leadership
And spiritually, the question becomes:
Who is ruling your inner kingdom?
Your heart… or your lower self?
Allah gave us tawfiq to fight this battle.
This is the good fight.

Bismillah. As-salaamu ʻalaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, dear community. We pray you are well and in the best of states.

"By the dawn, and the ten nights." Surah Al-Fajr 89:1-2 Trans. M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

Allah swears by these days. By the dawn. By the ten nights. The scholars of tafsir are unanimous: these particular ten nights are the first ten nights of Dhul Hijja. When Allah takes an oath by something in His own Book, He is drawing our attention to it with the full weight of His Lordship. These days matter. These days are a gift. And they will not return until next year.

There's a man who came in full of rage — at his wife, his parents, himself.
But within minutes, I knew the truth: he wasn't angry. He was in pain.

It took a few sessions before I named it for him — the *Hulk Smash* moment.
He was hurting the people he loved most... because he loved them too much and felt helpless watching them suffer.

The second he felt truly seen?
He wept. Childlike. Vulnerable. Real.

That's the healing that's possible when someone finally speaks to your pain — not your behavior.

If you or someone you know is struggling with anger, emotional suppression, or feeling misunderstood — this is for you. 💙

Many men are silently carrying pain they don’t know how to process.
They’re:
Praying
Working
Serving
Trying to lead
Trying to communicate better
Trying to become stronger
And still…
They keep hitting a wall.
Why?
Because many men have no real brotherhood.
No space to:
Be vulnerable
Speak honestly
Process pain
Feel seen
So the pain stays buried.
And instead of healing it…
They put more pressure on themselves:
Work harder
Make more money
Train harder
Worship more
Meanwhile something inside keeps gnawing at them.
Muslim men don’t just need productivity.
They need:
Connection
Brotherhood
Presence
Healing
Safe spaces to be human
Because healing begins when pain is finally acknowledged.

Allah is not distant.
Islam is not a belief in a God who created the world…
then abandoned it.
We are not deists.
We believe in Allah —
the One who is:
Near
Aware
Present
Closer to us than our own selves
Even right now…
As your ears hear these words,
your brain processes them,
and your heart makes meaning from them…
Allah is closer to you than that entire process.
This is why healing in Islam is not just physical.
It begins with relationship.
With turning back to Allah.
Speaking to Him.
Asking Him directly for healing.
Because Allah wants a relationship with us.
And true healing begins when we remember
He was always near.

What is the real goal of healing?
Is it only the removal of symptoms…
or something deeper?
In the Islamic understanding of healing, it is both.
But above all:
It is returning to Allah
with a sound heart.
Because on the Day of Judgment:
“Nothing will benefit a person — neither wealth nor children — except one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.”
And the Prophet ﷺ reminded us:
“In the body is an organ — if it is sound, the whole body is sound…”
That organ is the heart.
This is why so many physical struggles are deeply connected to:
Emotional pain
Trauma
Anxiety
Spiritual emptiness
Inner imbalance
Healing is not just physical.
It is spiritual.
Emotional.
Relational.
And true healing begins when we:
Return to Allah
Ask Him directly for healing
Put things back in their proper place
Because when the heart begins to heal…
Everything else starts to change too.

Sometimes healing is not just chemistry.
Not just compounds.
Not just clinical indications.
Sometimes…
love heals.
A person may take black seed not because it is perfectly suited to their constitution…
But because they heard the words of the Prophet ﷺ
and their heart moved with love.
They trust him completely.
They love him deeply.
And through that love…
Allah places healing.
Because the Prophet ﷺ is not merely a historical figure.
He is:
The beloved of Allah
A mercy to creation
A healer of hearts
And sometimes what heals you…
is not only the substance itself,
but the sincerity, faith, and love connected to it.
