Dozer Anthony Rapp

Dozer Rapp was born in March of 2016. He unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with his sisters Dolly and Baby Girl on June 9th 2026 at 3pm at his home.

At 8 weeks old he went to live with his first dad, Jared. For the first 2 years of his life, he was a rowdy, rambunctious farm boy. He ran around out in the country doing as he pleased. He mostly just enjoyed being Jared's shadow. In 2018, he decided to retire from the farm life and go live the lazy life in town with Jared's sister Lindsay and her family. He immediately became a giant lap dog and snugglebug to his 2 new human boys, Presley and Canton, and loved every second of it.

He was a natural protector. He wouldn't let anyone get within 12 feet of his boys. He made sure they were safe at all times and that their faces got licked multiple times a day. He made a bond with them strong enough that he could even predict when they were on the verge of having a seizure and refused to leave their sides after they had one. He loved them with his whole heart and they felt the same.

He decided on day one that he would be sleeping between David and Lindsay every night and that was non-negotiable. They even had to buy a king-sized bed to accommodate their new giant baby since he insisted on sleeping sideways. Unless he had draped himself over Lindsay like a weighted blanket, which he did frequently.

He soon turned his new dad David into a big softy and they both looked forward to their hours of “Sunday Morning Snuggles” on the couch every weekend.

His mom Lindsay never had to question where Dozer was. No matter where she went in the house, he was never more than 2 feet from her. He protected her from everything, like groundhogs, skunks and especially vacuum cleaners. For 8 whole years, special precautions had to be taken any time the vacuum was running, so that he did not destroy it to keep it from “hurting” anyone.

He lived up to the name “Dozer” and used his head to open anything that got in his way. He even ran headfirst through a chain liked fence and wasn't phased in the least.

He was an ambassador for his breed. Many peoples opinions of pitbulls were changed forever after they met Dozer. All he ever wanted was loves and snuggles, after he made sure that you were not an intruder.

He and his dog brother Cougar were thick as thieves. Neither one of them would give the other one up when interrogated about food that went missing from the kitchen counter or things that got mysteriously chewed up while they were home alone.

He always looked forward to seeing his grandparents because he knew he could

manipulate them into giving him as many treats as he wanted with those giant puppy dog

eyes of his.

The void in the lives of those who lost him will never be filled. He was a one of a kind boy

and he will never be forgotten.

He will be forever missed by his humans David, Lindsay, Presley and Canton. His first dad

Jared. His fur brother Cougar, his cat sister Precious and all of his grandparents.
