He Is Worthy of my Praise

He Is Worthy of my Praise Because of my medical and mental journey, I was drawn to a destructive lifestyle. So, here I will be sharing these Two Lives in One!

From that destructive lifestyle, I was lead to repentance and salvation in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It robs energy, finances, opportunities, and abilities that many people take for granted. Those who live with chronic pain or illness often face daily decisions that others never have to consider. They must carefully balance what needs to be done with what they are actually able to do.

When someone with chronic illness declines an invitation, adjusts their schedule, or makes choices that others may not understand, it is not necessarily fear, weakness, or being overly cautious. Often, it is simply wise stewardship of the body and strength God has entrusted to them. They are learning to live within real limitations while trusting a faithful Savior.

Yet as difficult as these trials can be, our hope is not found in perfect health, easier circumstances, or pain-free days. Our hope is found in Jesus Christ.

Jesus lovingly calls the weary and burdened to Himself: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest"(Matthew 11:28). He is the source of true rest for tired souls and weary bodies.

The Lord has also promised to faithfully provide what we need for each day. While our strength may be limited, His grace is not. We must prayerfully discern how we spend our time and energy, sowing to the Spirit and refusing to grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:8-9).

There will be days when discouragement tempts us to complain, quit, or run from the burdens we carry. But Scripture calls us to stand firm in Christ's strength, remembering that "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial" (James 1:12).

Today, we can receive fresh grace from our compassionate High Priest, who understands every weakness and every struggle. Because of Him, we can "draw near to the throne of grace" and find mercy and help for today's needs (Hebrews 4:15-16).

Most importantly, we remember that this is not the final chapter of our story. The aches, limitations, diagnoses, and disappointments of this present life are temporary. A day is coming when faith will become sight, suffering will give way to glory, and every tear will be wiped away by our Savior.

So today we press on, not because we are strong, but because Christ is faithful. We keep our eyes fixed on eternity and echo the words of Paul: *"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith"* (2 Timothy 4:7).

For those of us walking through chronic illness, let us not be consumed by today's pain. Let us look beyond the struggles of the present moment to the promises of God and the glory that awaits His children. The best is yet to come.

Grace for today. Strength for the journey. Glory in eternity.

Romans 12 teaches that the mercies of God described in Romans 1โ€“11 produce a transformed life. The believer who has been justified by grace increasingly displays surrender in worship (vv. 1โ€“2), humility in service (vv. 3โ€“8), sincerity in love (vv. 9โ€“13), and Christlike grace toward both friends and enemies (vv. 14โ€“21).

The gospel is not just the beginning of our faithโ€”it is the foundation, the power, and the promise that carries us all the way home. In Jesus Christ, our salvation is complete: secured in the past, sustained in the present, and guaranteed in the future.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealedโ€”a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: โ€œThe righteous will live by faith.โ€ (๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐Ÿญ:๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒโ€“๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ)

Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, our sins have been fully forgiven, and we have been declared righteous before God. This is not something we earned, but a gift received by faith.
โ€œSince we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.โ€ (๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐Ÿฑ:๐Ÿญ)

Our salvation will be fully realized when we stand in the presence of Christ, free from sin and made perfect in Him. This is our living hope, secured by His promise.

My thoughts for the day. - April 6, 2026

"No one lives up to even his or her own moral standards. If we fall short of our own standards, what will we do before God's?"
That truth hits deep. Even by our own measure, we fall short. We set standards for kindness, patience, honestyโ€”and still miss the mark. And yet, how often do we carry the weight of trying to prove ourselves worthy, as if striving harder could somehow make us right before a holy God?

The reality is, our own moral standards can become a burden. They can lead to guilt, frustration, and even quiet despair when we realize we canโ€™t live up to them. And if we canโ€™t meet our own expectations, how could we ever meet Godโ€™s perfect and holy standard?

The good news isโ€”we were never meant to.

Scripture reminds us:
(Romans 3:23 ESV)

Left to ourselves, itโ€™s impossible. But God never asked us to do it alone. In His grace, He gave us His Spiritโ€”not to condemn us, but to lead us, help us, and transform us from the inside out.

โ€ (Galatians 5:16 ESV)

This is where hope lives. Not in trying harder, but in surrendering deeper. Not in perfect performance, but in daily dependence.

Godโ€™s standard is holyโ€”but His grace is greater. Through Christ, we are not only forgiven but empowered. The Spirit works in us, shaping us, guiding us, and reminding us that our righteousness is found in Him, not in ourselves.

So, when you feel the weight of falling short, donโ€™t run from Godโ€”run to Him.

He already knows.
He already loves.
And He is already at work within you.

Look closely. Step near. Experience it for yourself.

The empty tomb is Godโ€™s invitation to every heart:
Not blind beliefโ€”but personal encounter.

And that same invitation is now our assignment.

Because the resurrection is not just something we explainโ€”
itโ€™s something we proclaim and point people toward.

And because He lives, our hope is not smallโ€”it is overflowing with promise:

This is the unseen hope we carry every day.

A hope not built on feelings, but on a finished work.
A hope not shaken by circumstances, but anchored in an empty tomb.
A hope that reminds us: death is not the end, sin is not the final word, and darkness does not win.

Today, letโ€™s live like the tomb is truly empty.

Letโ€™s invite othersโ€”not just to hear about Jesusโ€”
but to come and see.

Because the truth that changed your life
is the same truth that can change theirs.

"Because the tomb is empty the promise of Christ is not."
