Losing distance off the tee?

It might not be your swing.

Many golfers lose hip and upper body rotation over time, making it harder to create power and get into the positions their swing requires.

Check out the golfer above and the change in his hip rotation after just one session.

The problem isn’t always that you’re tight.

Many golfers spend 5-10 minutes stretching muscles that aren’t actually limiting their swing.

A good warm-up should prepare you for golf, not just check a box before your round.

If your back, hips, or shoulders feel stiff every time you play, there may be a better way to prepare your body.

Tag your golf partner who’s always saying, “Give me a few holes to loosen up.”

You don’t need more speed.

You need more control.

Every golfer wants more distance — but swinging harder with a broken movement pattern just means more consistent bad shots and a higher injury risk.

We teach golfers to own their movement first. Hip mobility, load, rotate. When you control the pattern, the speed follows naturally — and so does the distance.

Here’s a drill we use with our golf patients to build that control.

Save this and try it before your next round. Let me know how it goes in the comments.

It’s not your swing. It’s your hips.

Hip mobility is the #️⃣1 thing we assess when a golfer comes in saying they’ve lost distance.

When your hips can’t rotate fully, your body compensates — you spin out early, lose lag, and come over the top.

The result?

A 10-15 yard distance loss that no amount of range time will fix.

We spend 10 minutes on hip mobility every time we work with a golfer here at Dynamic Performance & Rehab.

Be sure to watch to see what restricted hip rotation actually looks like in the swing.

Tag a golf buddy who needs to hear this.

If your back hurts after every round… it’s not your age.

It’s your movement.

Most golfers we see at Dynamic Performance & Rehab are losing rotation through their thoracic spine and hips — so their lower back has to pick up the slack on every single swing. That leads to tightness, inflammation, and rounds cut short.

The good news?

It’s fixable.

We assess your movement, find the restriction, and build a plan to keep you on the course all season.

Drop a ⛳️ of this sounds like you and I’ll DM you our free Golf Back Pain Guide.
