Kent Hospital's Dawn Lavigne, CNA, and Marie Potter, RN, spent the summer growing dahlias and selling them throughout the hospital, with all proceeds benefiting the Women in Need Fund at The Breast Health Center.

Thanks to the support of friends, coworkers, and members of the community, they have raised more than $1,500 and counting.

What started as a shared love of gardening has blossomed into something even more meaningful — helping support patients while bringing a little extra joy to staff along the way.

Friday’s Evening of Hope brought together an incredible community of supporters at The Dunes Club, where we also celebrated the Howes Family, recipients of the Jonathan K. Farnum Outstanding Philanthropist Award.

More than $250,000 was raised to support upgrades and improvements to the Women’s Care Center and Obstetrics at Kent Hospital.

A little something to bring some smiles to our patients and families.

The NASCAR Foundation generously donated teddy bears, games, coloring supplies, and other toys to Care New England.

The donation will be shared between Kent Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, giving children and families a little extra comfort during their time with us.
