A good golf round starts before the first swing ⛳️
A proper warm up helps prepare the body for the rotational demands of golf while improving mobility, stability, and overall comfort throughout your swing.
These exercises focus on:
🏌️ Trunk rotation — important for generating power and reducing stress on the low back
🏌️ Scapular retraction & upward rotation — helps improve shoulder mechanics and posture during the swing
🏌️ Bending & squatting mechanics — important for setup, balance, and maintaining consistency throughout the round
**In the video, the ball is used as a cue to help prevent the shoulders from rounding forward during the exercises, but all of these can still be performed without the ball.
Taking just a few minutes to warm up can help you move better, swing more comfortably, and potentially reduce injury risk before heading to the course.
