Understanding levels of mental health care can allow individuals to be empowered and make informed decisions about treatment.
Pursuing treatment for a mental health condition can be intimidating, even scary especially if you do not know what to expect. Sometimes the reason people do not seek treatment is due to not understanding the healthcare system or the available types of treatment. Understanding treatment options can be an essential first step for patients and families who are navigating complex healthcare systems.

If you are in crisis, call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Help is available 24/7. You can also reach out to by texting HOME to 741741. Additional resources both in the U.S. and internationally are listed on the Help & Resources page of the Mental Health Missions website.
