Some good news, coming out of England! The BBC reports that adolescents vaccinated for HPV between the age of 12-13 have close to zero risk of dying from cervical cancer before the age of 30 based on a new study published in The Lancet.

Despite the benefits and no major reported side effects, vaccination rates have stalled in the U.S., which could mean a rise in avoidable deaths. In honor of National Immunization Awareness Month, let's talk about it ➡️

Have you heard of the pleasure gap? In honor of National Or**sm Day, let's talk about it!

The pleasure gap (also known as the or**sm gap) is a term coined to acknowledge the consistent findings that men who have s*x with women have more frequent or**sms than women who have s*x with men — something that has been shown in multiple studies of cisgender, heteros*xual participants.

The reason for this gap is nuanced, but is likely to be heavily influenced by cultural beliefs and messaging, as well as lack of information and communication.

The gap also changes depending on orientation. When asked if they usually or always or**smed during s*x, the following breakdown was reported in one study:
💥 95% of heteros*xual men said yes
💥 89% of gay men said yes
💥 88% of bis*xual men said yes
💥 86% of le***an women said yes
💥 66% of bis*xual women said yes
💥 65% of heteros*xual women said yes

There's a lot to unpack when it comes to this topic, but one crucial note is that or**sm doesn't have to be the goal of s*x! Pleasure is what's most important, and that can look a lot of different ways for different people. 💗
