A new chapter in community healthcare begins August 3!

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is excited to welcome Apex Clinic, a new outpatient primary care practice dedicated to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care. Led by Dr. Eskinder Hadgu and Dr. Haimanot Haile, the clinic will help expand access to quality healthcare for patients throughout Southeast DC.

Earlier this week, Mamatoto Village hosted a Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) Community Responders Training Session at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, bringing together community members for a powerful learning experience focused on recognizing and responding to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) in Black communities.

This culturally grounded training provided participants with the knowledge, tools and confidence to support individuals and families during the perinatal period and help advance equitable maternal health outcomes.

Together, we're strengthening community support, raising awareness and creating healthier futures for Black mothers and families.
