One of the biggest surprises of getting older?

Realizing that what worked in my 20s and 30s stopped working after 40.

I was eating less.
Working out more.
Trying harder.

And somehow I felt worse.

I remember feeling so defeated.

I was hitting my protein goals.
Drinking my water.
Working out.
Trying to make healthier choices.

And every Monday I’d tell myself, “This is the week.”

Nobody warned me that stress could completely change your body.

Not just mentally… physically too.

I’m talking about the weird stuff women over 40 suddenly deal with and quietly panic over:

• Belly weight that shows up out of nowhere
• A face that constantly looks swollen or tired
• Hair shedding more than normal
• Feeling exhausted but somehow still unable to sleep
• Bloating after almost every meal
• Mood swings, anxiety, irritability, overwhelm
• Even body odor changing for no obvious reason

For the longest time, I blamed myself.

I thought maybe I was getting older, not disciplined enough, eating the wrong things, or just “letting myself go.”

But my body wasn’t failing me.
It was overloaded.
