🤍 Bridges of Recovery – SAMS 15 began in Jordan’s Zaatari Refugee Camp, providing medical care to families before continuing on to Syria.

For SAMS, the mission doesn’t stop at borders. We continue serving communities wherever they are, including families who remain in refugee camps.

From Zaatari to communities across Syria, Bridges of Recovery is about bringing specialized care closer to the people who need it.

🤍 On the road to Deir Ezzor, the Bridges of Recovery – SAMS 15 mission stopped in Palmyra.

As with previous SAMS missions, Palmyra was more than a stop along the way. People were already waiting for the team, eager to receive the medical care they had come to expect.

This time, SAMS was joined by a team from Global Medical Foundation Australia, bringing together medical expertise from across the world to serve communities in Syria.

For SAMS, stopping in Palmyra has become a familiar part of the journey: a moment to visit a city that carries centuries of Syria’s history, then turn to its people and the patients waiting at the hospital.

From Palmyra, the mission continues east, toward Deir Ezzor.

A warm Syrian welcome to our newest medical mission team. ❤️🇸🇾

Today, around 15 physicians and medical professionals from Global Medical Foundation Australia arrived in Syria to join Bridges of Recovery – SAMS 15, bringing their expertise and experience to support patients and healthcare teams in eastern Syria.

Welcomed by representatives from the Syrian Ministry of Health and SAMS, the team received the kind of hospitality Syria is known for: warm greetings, open doors, and genuine joy at welcoming new friends and colleagues.

Their work in eastern Syria begins this Saturday, as the team joins local healthcare professionals to provide specialized care and strengthen access to essential medical services.
