We are encouraged by the tremendous progress that has been made in vaccinating individuals across the US - over 95 million Americans (~28% of the population) are vaccinated. Immunity is powerful! Most of us have likely seen the news concerning adverse events around the COVID-19 vaccine and wanted to take a moment to weigh in. Adverse events tend to be rare and if you are one of the 66 million who have been vaccinated, no need to panic! After receiving the vaccine, if you experience a severe headache that does not go away, significant abdominal or leg pain that does not subside, or increasing shortness of breath, health officials want you to call your doctor immediately. We advise our patients to continue to get vaccinated and listen to health official guidance.

we have said it before, we practice it every day and will continue to make this a top priority. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has only exacerbated health disparities for pregnant Black women. With this week being , we are encouraged to see the White House released a proclamation vowing to address the maternal health crisis. 
We promise our patients that we will not stop advocating for Black maternal health equity and do our part in providing each and every patient who enters our practice with the best care possible, every step of the way.

April is STD awareness month and we want to raise awareness around the importance of talking, testing and treating. With a sharp increase in three of the most common STDs in the US, it’s time to take action - all STDs are preventable and if left untreated, some can have a serious impact on your health. We understand this can be a difficult topic to discuss but we are here to listen, test and treat - our office is a judgement free zone.
Talk openly with your partner and physician about s*x and STDs.
Get tested, some STDs do not necessarily manifest symptoms
If you have an STD, most can be cured with the right medication or treated.

A survey found that 41% of respondents reported at least one mental or behavioral health condition during the pandemic.
