Place a hand over your heart and take a slow, intentional breath. Notice what is here today without needing to change, fix, or push anything away.

So often, we move through our days focused on what needs to be done, who needs us, and what comes next. We don’t always give ourselves the same attention, tenderness, and care that we so readily offer to others.

Take another breath and ask yourself: What does my heart need from me today?

Maybe the answer is compassion, connection, tenderness, joy, or simply permission to feel what you feel. Maybe your heart needs rest. Maybe it needs reassurance. Maybe it needs you to reach out to someone you love, or to create a little more space for something that brings you joy.

You don’t have to have all the answers. Just give yourself a few quiet moments to listen.

What does your heart need from you today?

Listen to Your Body
Take a moment to notice your breath, soften your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and feel the ground beneath you. Then ask yourself: What do I need right now?

Maybe you need movement, stillness, connection, space, or rest. Maybe you need to step outside, take a deeper breath, stretch, cry, laugh, say no, ask for help, or simply stop doing for a little while.

So often, we ask our bodies to keep up with the pace of our lives without pausing to notice what they might be communicating. We push through exhaustion, ignore tension, override discomfort, and keep moving because there is always something else that needs our attention.

There is wisdom in learning to listen to your body instead of always asking it to keep up with your life. Coming home to your body can begin with something as simple as pausing long enough to listen and honoring what you hear.

What is your body asking for today?

REST
You don’t have to earn your rest or wait until you’re exhausted to slow down. Rest is part of caring for yourself along the way, not something reserved for when you can’t keep going anymore.

Sometimes rest means sleep or stillness, and sometimes it means a walk, a few quiet breaths, saying no, or simply doing less.

Where could you give yourself permission to soften today?

Come Home to Your Body
Your body is communicating with you all the time. The tightness in your shoulders, the breath you didn’t realize you were holding, the exhaustion you keep pushing through, or the exhale that comes when you finally soften.

Coming home to your body begins with simply noticing, without judging or trying to change anything. Take a breath, feel your feet on the ground, and ask yourself:

What is my body telling me today?

A little weekend reflection for you:
Where in your life do you feel most like yourself?
Who are you with?
What are you doing?
How does your body feel?
What parts of you get to come alive?
What are you no longer trying to prove?

And then consider: What would it look like to create a little more room for that version of you?

Coming home to yourself doesn’t always require a dramatic life change. Sometimes it begins with one honest choice. One boundary. One yes. One no. One moment of listening to yourself and trusting what you hear.

Sometimes we keep living from an old version of ourselves. The person we needed to be five years ago. The role we were expected to play. The dream we once thought we wanted. The version of success we thought we were supposed to pursue.

But you are allowed to change. You are allowed to want something different. You are allowed to outgrow roles, relationships, expectations, habits, dreams, and even versions of yourself that once fit beautifully.

Coming home to yourself means getting curious about who you are now.
→ What matters to you now?
→ What feels true now?
→ What do you need now?
→ What are you ready to choose now?

You don’t have to keep being who you’ve always been simply because you’ve been her for a long time.

Sometimes I think about the younger version of me and wonder what she would think of the life I’ve created. I believe she would be in awe of the woman I’ve become.

She had no idea where this path would lead, how much would change, or that one day I would build a career around helping others heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

There have been so many unexpected turns along the way. Things I could never have planned for. Things I would have chosen differently. And things more beautiful than I could have imagined.

But through it all, I kept going. I kept learning, growing, trusting, and following what felt aligned. And somehow, that little girl who wondered what was possible grew into the woman creating it. Maybe coming home to yourself is also remembering all the versions of you who helped you get here.

October feels like an invitation to come home, not necessarily to a place, but to yourself. To slow down enough to hear your own voice. To remember what matters to you. To notice what feels aligned and what no longer does. To honor who you are now, not simply who you have been or who others expect you to be.

So, this month, I’m exploring Coming Home.
♥️ Coming home to yourself.
♥️ Coming home to your body.
♥️ Coming home to your heart.
♥️ Coming home to what matters.
♥️ Coming home to your own inner wisdom.

Because sometimes the journey isn’t about becoming someone new. Sometimes it’s about finding your way back to yourself.

September was about Finding Your Way, and I found myself living those words in ways I didn’t necessarily expect. This month brought some changes, some difficult decisions, some new possibilities, and some moments when I had to slow down and ask myself what felt right and aligned for me now.

As I reflect on the month, I’m realizing that finding my way isn’t always about having a clear path forward. Sometimes it’s trusting myself enough to change direction, let something go, make room for something new, or simply stay still long enough to listen.

Perhaps that’s what finding your way really is: finding your way back to yourself. And if there’s one thing I hope you take from this month, it’s permission to trust your own way, even when you can’t see the whole path yet.

What has “finding your way” looked like for you lately? I’d love to hear in the comments or feel free to private message me!

One of the most freeing lessons I’ve learned, both as a therapist and as a yoga teacher, is that two seemingly opposite things can be true at the same time.

– You can love your work AND feel exhausted.
– You can be deeply grateful AND long for something to change.
– You can feel confident AND uncertain.
– You can be healing AND still have difficult days.

Too often, we believe we have to choose one truth over another. We tell ourselves, “If I’m grateful, I shouldn’t feel overwhelmed,” or “If I’m making progress, I shouldn’t still struggle.” But healing is rarely that simple.

In Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), we call this dialectical thinking, the ability to hold two truths at once. Yoga offers a similar invitation, encouraging us to meet ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment and to make space for the fullness of our human experience.

When we stop forcing life into either/or thinking, we create room for greater compassion, flexibility, and emotional resilience.
