Yesterday, on National Grief Awareness Day, more than 130 Camp Forget-Me-Not/Camp Erin DC campers, families, volunteers, and staff came together for a special camp reunion at a Nationals baseball game!
There were hot dogs, chicken tenders, ice cream, popcorn, and cotton candy—but the sweetest part of the day was the connection. There were hugs, laughter, stories about camp, memories shared, and new memories made together.
Despite a VERY long line, many campers even got the chance to run the bases at the end of the game!
As we say goodbye to the 2026 camp season, we do so with open hearts and so much gratitude. Thank you to our campers and families, volunteers, donors, and everyone who helped make this season possible.
Grief can change our lives, but connection reminds us that we never have to carry it alone.
