In humility I serve , understanding we are all accountable to the progress needed in our communities. I’m so humbled and thankful to be a speaker in this incredible roundtable African Women Day (themed: "The Political Legacy of the African women"), on July 31, 2021 with special guest Her Excellency Ambassador Hilda S**a-Mafudze , and so many other incredible leaders as speakers . As quoted by the host Dr “ As we all already know, the positive importance of women in Politics is undeniable, yet a number of challenges have continued to limit the chances of women on decision making tables. For instance, female representation in African parliaments and political institutions is below the global average of 26% and much lower than in America and Europe, with 30 and 32% respectively. Nevertheless, African women have always played an important role in the history of Africa's development. However, the important question on our lips remains: how can we get more women in today's world to achieve the same level of excellence as our post (s)heroes? The initiative will promote a women’s focused roundtable that not only highlights Africa’s post independent female political pioneers, but also addresses the prevalent problem African women face when participating in the political arena. This roundtable will also raise awareness of the political legacy of the African women and honour them for their foresight over the years” “ We welcome everyone join us tomorrow with these amazing leaders to discuss progress in our African communities . We thank the incredible organizations for this much needed platforms
