Immune-mediated thrombocytopenic purpura (iTTP) has undergone one of the most remarkable transformations in modern hematology.

Once considered almost universally fatal, it is now a largely treatable disease due to advances in therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), immunosuppression, and targeted therapy.

Nevertheless, important challenges remain in early diagnosis, equitable access to treatment, relapse prevention, and long-term patient outcomes.
