A loud bang from the apartment above, and I was on my feet before I finished the thought. I was told don’t get involved. I said, “I’m sorry, I can’t.” Part 2 of Muffled Screams.

I held it together for the whole trip: smiling, masking, performing. Then takeoff and my ADHD battery hit 0%. If your brain does this too, you belong here. Be really kind to yourself today!

I held it together the whole trip. Smiling, masking, performing normal.
Then takeoff and my ADHD battery just hit 0%.
If your brain does this too, you absolutely belong here. Please be really, really kind to yourself today

A muffled woman’s voice, screams coming through the walls, and I was the only woman who lived there.
The next season of my storytelling series begins with a night abroad that I still think about. Where do you think the screams were coming from? Leave your guess below before part two drops.

Hearing our people at an HBCU talk about learning disabilities on ‘A Different World’ on Netflix was so refreshing. Dyslexia deserves that same openness when we travel and move abroad, so I made a free one page playbook for reading at your own pace, wherever you land. Grab it here (or in the link in my bio): https://stan.store/liveabroadwithadhd

Street cat? Ma’am…I’m a house cat with a passport and a very strict couch schedule to protect my nervous system peace. I may like to travel out in those streets, exploring the world, but when I come home I transform in to a house cat and get my recharge on! The outfits, the brooches and the skincare that keeps this house cat glowing are in my LinkTree https://linktr.ee/liveabroadwithadhd (here and link in bio)

Summer helped me through severe burnout, so I’m giving it a proper send off. Linganore Winecellars w**e from Maryland, a pile of sliced fruit, and a porch I refuse to leave. Fall can wait until this pitcher is empty. Save this recipe for your own summer and burnout goodbye party.
Sangria recipe:
1 bottle Ligamore mango white w**e
1 to 2 ripe mangos, sliced
1 orange, sliced
A handful of berries or grapes
A splash of brandy or peach liqueur
Sparkling water to top it off
Chill for a few hours before serving

My room used to let every bit of light in and so did my brain. These Wayfair blackout curtains were a small fix for a big problem: recovering from severe neurodivergent burnout starts with the basics like actual dark, actual sleep. Shop the link: https://creatorlink.shop/4x11Gw4

I’m honored to be named Black Travel Alliance’s Member of the Month! With Live Abroad with ADHD, I’m building the community, resources, and platform I wish I had access to, and I’m hoping it can now exist for others going through the same thing. This means a lot, both as recognition and as a chance for people to find this community that we’re building together.
Thank you Black Travellers Unite✊🏾✊🏾 for the opportunity!!
