Four years ago today, the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision stripped away a fundamental constitutional right, altering the healthcare landscape of America overnight. Today the reality is stark with 25 states having restrictions or bans on abortion. These laws don’t eliminate the need for abortion; they just make it incredibly delayed and dangerous.

But a bad law cannot erase the fundamental need for healthcare, nor can it stop the collective momentum of those fighting to protect it. Shield laws across the country have been enacted to defend patients and the providers who care for them.

Healthcare decisions belong between a patient and their medical team–not politicians. Four years later, we keep organizing, advocating, and fighting for true reproductive equity.

As summer brings pool parties, sleepovers, and more time spent at friends’ and relatives’ homes, it's important to talk about firearm safety. Nearly 6.7 million children in the United States live in a home with a loaded unlocked gun.

Research shows that keeping guns locked and unloaded reduces the risk of unintentional shooting deaths and gun suicides among youth by 73%.

As parents, caregivers, and community members, we all have a role in keeping children safe. Prevention starts with a conversation, and safety starts with us.

Advocacy groups urge U.S. to share experimental Ebola drug for outbreak trials

The signatories urged ​the U.S. to include global access commitments in future research agreements for medical products developed ​with public funding.

A clutch of advocacy groups on Tuesday urged the U.S. government to make an experimental Ebola treatment by Mapp Biopharmaceutical available ​for clinical trials and emergency use in countries responding to ‌the Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak.
