Nearly 1 in 3 older adults say they feel lonely or isolated. It’s often invisible from the outside. A parent can sound completely fine on a weekly phone call while quietly going days without a real conversation. Also 1 in 4 adults 65 and older falls every year and less than half tell their doctor. When you don’t live close to a loved one, a home safety check and some consistent support can catch small risks before they become big ones. Aging in place has a bit of a scary reputation, falls, isolation, and the unknown of what happens if something goes wrong. We’re not going to pretend those fears aren’t real. More than 1 in 4 seniors fall every year, and close to 1 in 3 older adults say they feel lonely or isolated. But here is what we know just as well, the right support in place changes all of that.
