Congratulations to Parker on winning WCDC's Client of the Year Award! Parker is part of the UP Home team, working in our laundry department, and we couldn't agree more that he is worthy of this award. Thanks for being part of our team!

Client of the Year - Parker Stratton

Over the past year, this client has shown tremendous personal growth. He has become increasingly engaged with both his peers and staff, building stronger relationships and becoming more involved in the people and activities around him.

This client has demonstrated an incredible commitment to his work. His attendance and reliability have improved significantly, taking on additional shifts, including regularly working weekends. Even when faced with last-minute schedule changes, he has shown flexibility, responsibility, and a positive attitude.

Throughout the year, he has navigated personal challenges with resilience and continued to move forward toward his goals. One of the qualities that stands out most is his willingness to advocate not only for himself, but also for his peers when they may need additional support in having their voices heard.

The growth he has shown over the past year is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly proud to recognize him as one of WCDC’s Clients of the Year.

The 2026 WHS Homecoming Court stopped by the UP Home last Wednesday! Our residents got a chance to meet the candidates, ask them questions and enjoy some time together. Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable visit!

Loaded up and hit the road for an exciting weekend trip to Indianapolis!🏀 With so many Fever fans at the UP Home, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a group to experience a home game!
Between the road trip, the sights, the energy of the game, and the wonderful company we shared along the way, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. And to top it all off... the Fever won!!! 🎉
So many memories were made, and we’re already looking forward to another adventure like this in the future!

Fun in the sun! ☀️
Our annual Slip N Slide event was another afternoon filled with sunshine, laughter and plenty of ways to cool off! From water guns and sprinklers to slipping, sliding and cheering each other on, it was so much fun watching everyone enjoy the day together. 💙
A special thank you to our wonderful employee helpers who made the afternoon possible and kept everyone safe while joining in on the fun! Events like this are such a great reminder that some of the best moments are the ones we share with one another. We’re holding onto every last bit of summer fun! 🌊

We recently took a trip to the Anne Frank Connection at the Danville Station Museum! This special field trip gave us the unique opportunity to visit one of only two locations where you can view pen pal letters exchanged between a past Danville student and Anne Frank herself!
There was so much more to see, discover and learn during our time at the museum. It was a meaningful trip filled with history, insight and a deeper connection to the past! 📖
