Saying goodbye to my service dog and best friend Nala. 😢 My wonderful friends Jill & Glenn came all the way from St. George to Provo, close to a 4 hour drive, to pick her up and take her home with them so I could have major surgery & time to recover. What amazing friends! They’ve had her for a few weeks now! They’ve been sending me video and pictures almost every day! They even let me FaceTime with her! She really loves that! So do I. I am getting her back this Friday and that’s all I can think about right now! I’m so excited to see my baby girl! 🩷 ❤️ Do you have a pet that is really a member of your family? An animal you love more than you thought you ever could?

When things get bad, people always say, “Just take a deep breath!” but most people don’t understand what that means. So here you go! The absolute best way to quiet your mind & body, step-by-step.

1. Take a moment to quiet your mind then inhale slowly and deeply through your nose blowing up your entire belly. Don’t just puff out your chest but breathe so deeply that it feels like your entire torso is full of air way down below your navel even. Usually people can do this to the count of 3-4.

2. Hold it for 1 to 2 seconds focusing on the breath and letting your mind empty completely.

3. Then slowly release the air focusing on it coming up from below your navel and out of your mouth. Release it taking twice as long as it did to inhale. So usually to the count of 6-8. Or longer if you can.

4. The more you repeat this the more you will be forcing your body to relax.

Your brain and the rest of your body receives more oxygen. Your muscles relax. Focus on releasing everything. Release the tension in your body. Release the tension in your mind. Let everything go. Nothing is permanent. Life is transient. Our spirit has a temporary residence in a physical body on this earth. It was here before it came to earth. It will live beyond this physical body. What is happening now is only a blip in your eternity.

Smile. Focus on gratitude. Focus on all the beautiful blessings in your life. If things are really bad that might just be the beauty of a blue sky. The amazing iridescent colors of a peacock. The happiness you feel when you hear a child or a baby’s laughter. When you think about it there are tons of beautiful things in this life to be thankful for. You just have to find them and focus on them.

There’s been a lot of traumatic issues going on with my children and therefore, with me for quite a while now. I hurt for them because I love them so much. They are more important to me than life itself. Unfortunately, because of a lot of of the emotions they are going through, they have pulled away from me and mostly keep to themselves. It’s even recently caused a couple of my children to cruelly lash out at me! But even though I love them with all my heart, I cannot let them take away my happiness.

I can not let their hurtful comments destroy me. Even though I’d love to help them, they don’t want my help. So I have learned the only way for me to hold onto my peace & happiness is to give them their space so their pain does not take me down. I pray for them daily and my love for them never waivers but I really cannot base my happiness on how my children feel or treat me. I hope this doesn’t sound cold, but this is an important part of life.

‼️Self Preservation & Self-Love‼️

When we let anyone, even our own family, take away our joy, they’re also taking away one of the most important things we have in life.

So I continue to love them more than they will ever know. But it certainly doesn’t help them for me to be miserable, unhappy & suffer. So I still choose happiness. I hope one day they will begin to understand that I am their biggest advocate. I will always love them more than anyone else on this earth can. Until then

I think everyone should watch this and take it to heart. 💗 It only takes a moment to stop, pay attention & do a random act of kindness for someone! If you’re not accustomed to doing this, I think you’ll be surprised at how much this improves YOUR life! 😄You might as well try it. 🤷‍♀️I mean, What’ve you got to lose? Really!
If you do it, I would love for you to post about it here & share with others what you did and how it made you feel! 

I did 5 acts of kindness every day for 10 days!!! (And to be honest.. most days I did much more than 5, so this project should be called 100 acts of kindness...

If you haven’t tried it, WHY?! It is the best thing you will ever do for your body, mind & soul! With the proper guided meditation you can eliminate phobias from your life, get rid of bad habits like over eating or smoking and even turn your mental attitude around from depressed to happy and excited for each new day! Who doesn’t want that?!

I’ve never had to ask for help before but I’m doing it now because I love Nala, my sweet Service dog so much! She has undergone and will continue to need very expensive help/treatments from a veterinary orthopedic surgeon in Salt Lake City, UT. Without this help and these treatments she was not only limping but she was hopping and holding one leg up because the pain was too severe in her shoulder to even walk on it. Treatments are helping but they’re ongoing and expensive. If you can contribute, I want to thank you with all of my heart! I’ve been swept away with vet bills! My sweet Nala, my service dog and best little buddy has sustained a pretty serious injury. I hate to post this kind of thing but I felt I had no choice at this point!

Hey Meditation family, I’ve got a question for you!
*But first, I’m sorry I haven’t posted much in quite a while. I’ve had a series of Medical stumbling stones which I did stumble over but I got back on my feet, mostly. Still dealing with medical stuff but that’s the story of my life. Overall though I am happy because I choose to be! I surround myself with positive people who I love! Sometimes that’s enough and even more than you need to be happy! I know it’s enough for me!
