One thing that has always bothered me about the network marketing industry is the unrealistic expectations that some people are given when they first get started.

In my opinion, network marketing was never meant to instantly replace someone’s full-time income. For most people, it was created to provide extra income—to give you a little more breathing room each month.

Maybe that means making a car payment a little easier, paying off debt faster, taking a well-deserved vacation you’ve been putting off, building an emergency fund, or simply having more money left at the end of the month instead of more month left at the end of the money.

Unfortunately, many people are recruited with promises of quick riches. When those expectations aren’t met, they become discouraged and leave, often believing the industry doesn’t work.

I believe honesty is a better foundation than hype.

Does building a substantial income through network marketing happen? Absolutely—but like most worthwhile things in life, it usually takes consistency, patience, and effort.

Being transparent may not attract everyone overnight, but it attracts the right people. And in the long run, trust is worth far more than hype.

One of the things I’ve always tried to do in business is be transparent.

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people online responding to job seekers and people who genuinely need income by presenting network marketing opportunities as if they were traditional jobs. Personally, I’m not comfortable with that approach.

When I share what I do, I make it clear:

✅ It is NOT a job.
✅ The company is LiveGood.
✅ There are NO income guarantees.
✅ Nobody should expect to immediately replace the income they depend on from their regular job.
✅ Results depend on individual effort, skills, consistency, and many other factors.

Could this level of honesty cost me some enrollments? Probably.

But I’d rather build relationships based on trust than sign someone up with unrealistic expectations.

Network marketing isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. My goal is simply to provide accurate information so people can decide for themselves whether it’s something they want to explore.

At the end of the day, integrity matters more than making a quick sale.
