🌿 Allergy & Congestion Herbal Tea 🌿
I've had quite a few of you stop into the shop recently looking for support with seasonal allergies, coughs, congestion, and all the discomfort that seems to come with high pollen counts. Trust me, I understand—this season has been taking a toll on me as well!
When my sinuses feel full and my chest feels heavy, I often reach for my "Allergy & Congestion Herbal Blend"
This thoughtfully crafted tea combines herbs traditionally used to support the respiratory system, soothe irritation, and encourage the body’s natural response to seasonal discomfort.
🌿 Mullein– Traditionally used to support lung health and help loosen mucus.
🌿 Goldenrod– Often used during allergy season to support sinus comfort and help the body manage seasonal irritants.
🌿 Nettles – A mineral-rich herb commonly used to support a healthy response to seasonal allergies.
🌿 Ginger – Warming and soothing, traditionally used to support circulation, digestion, and respiratory comfort.
🌿 Peppermint – Cooling and refreshing, helping to open the airways and soothe the throat.
🌿 Chamomile – A calming herb that may help ease irritation while encouraging rest and relaxation.
🌿 Elderberry & Elderflower – Long valued for supporting immune health and seasonal wellness.
🌿 Licorice Root – Traditionally used to soothe irritated throats and support respiratory function.
How to Prepare
Add 1 tablespoon of tea to 8–10 ounces of freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes to fully extract the benefits of the herbs. Strain and enjoy.
How to Enjoy
Enjoy 1–3 cups daily during times of seasonal discomfort. This blend can be enjoyed warm or iced and pairs beautifully with a spoonful of local raw honey for additional throat-soothing support.
*** Please Use Caution If***
This blend may not be suitable for everyone.
• Those with high blood pressure should use caution due to the licorice root content.
• Individuals who are pregnant or nursing should consult their healthcare provider before use.
• If you are taking prescription medications or have a chronic medical condition, consult your healthcare professional prior to use.
• Not recommended for children without guidance from a qualified healthcare practitioner.
As always, herbal wellness is about supporting the body gently and consistently. Listen to your body, stay hydrated, and give yourself the rest you need while your body works to find balance. 🌿
Goldenrod is often misunderstood. Many people think it causes allergies, but the real culprit is usually ragweed blooming at the same time. Goldenrod is actually one of my favorite herbs for seasonal support, and I think it's a lovely inclusion in this blend. 🌼
