Janet Perkins, H.I.S., Practice Owner

Janet brings over 20 years of experience in hearing healthcare. Her career started almost 30 years ago with study as a neurotology assistant, surgical technician, and temporal bone laboratory coordinator at Michigan Ear Institute. She also worked as an audiology technician for five years at the Michigan Ear Institute and briefly at the Hearing Rehabilitation Center. Janet enjoys spending time by the water, attending concerts (with proper hearing protection of course!), and traveling.

Located in your inner ear, the vestibular system helps your brain understand where your head is in space, keeping you balanced, steady, and able to move confidently. Whether you're walking, turning your head, or simply standing still, this remarkable system is working behind the scenes.

When the vestibular system isn't functioning properly, it can lead to symptoms like:
• Dizziness or vertigo
• Balance problems
