Today is ! 🌎💜 What better way to celebrate than by introducing our FY27 group-based health educators, Laurel and Jess! 🎉
They’ve already been busy introducing themselves to health teachers and delivering goodie bags to kick off the school year. 🎒💌

Laurel and Jess provide s*xual health education in classrooms and youth-serving agencies throughout our four-county service area: Black Hawk, Butler, Buchanan, and Bremer counties.

We believe all young people deserve age-appropriate, medically accurate, and comprehensive s*xual health education—and we’re lucky to provide just that every day! 💜

With support from the 💚Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation💚, Success Street is able to fund a Mental Health Intake Coordinator position to expand access to school-based mental health services by streamlining referrals, reducing delays in care, and connecting more students to timely, school-based mental health therapy through UnityPoint Health - Black Hawk Grundy Mental Health Center.

Happy ! 👋 Meet your FY27 Together For Youth Individual Health Education (IHE) Team: Shawna, Jill, Crystal, & Olivia!

We offer free & confidential 1:1 sessions for middle and high school students seeking information and support around s*xual health.

➡️What We Offer:

✅Free & confidential pregnancy testing

✅Education on healthy relationships, abstinence, consent, birth control, STI prevention, managing s*xual pressure, puberty, online safety, & correct & consistent condom use

✅Direct referrals to school-based STI/STD testing (via Black Hawk County Public Health)

✅Screening and referrals for other health & wellness services

➡️Who We Serve: All middle and high school students in the Waterloo & Cedar Falls Community School Districts.

➡️Where to Find Us: We hold regular office hours at West High & East High inside the Success Street sites. For schools outside of West & East, we can meet with students at a private location right at their school upon request.

➡️4 Ways to Connect (Mon–Fri during school hours):

1. Walk in to a Success Street site (East, West, or Carver)
