👀 Do You Know the Signs of Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine that often develops during growth spurts in children and teens. The good news? Early detection can make a big difference!

Watch for these common signs:
✔️ One shoulder sits higher than the other
✔️ One hip appears higher than the other
✔️ Uneven waistline
✔️ Ribs that stick out more on one side
✔️ Clothes that don't hang evenly
✔️ The body appears to lean to one side

Many children with scoliosis have no pain, which is why regular screenings are so important.
June is Scoliosis Awareness Month! If you've noticed any of these signs, consider scheduling a scoliosis screening. Early detection can help provide more treatment options and better outcomes.

Your posture affects more than just your back and neck!
When you spend hours slouched forward, your body can stay in a constant state of stress — causing muscle tension, shallow breathing, and extra strain on your heart. Over time, poor posture may even contribute to higher blood pressure.

Standing tall, moving often, and supporting your spine can help your whole body function better! Your health starts with how you carry yourself every day.

Which picture of Dr. Wilson has better posture?

We love how nice its getting outside and know some of our Clinic Family works from home. Here are a few tips if you move your work outside. (you lucky ducks 😜)

✅ Feet flat on the floor, deck, patio ground, grass, sand, or whatever flat surface is below you.
✅ Sit ALL THE WAY back with lower back support.
✅ Keep shoulders relaxed.
✅ Elbows close to your body.
✅ Screen at eye level.
✅ Keep your head over your shoulders — not leaning forward.
✅ Stand up and stretch every 30–60 minutes.

Good posture helps reduce strain, improve comfort, and keep your body feeling its best while you work!

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to clean out your back too!

Good posture while vacuuming, mopping, lifting, and scrubbing can help reduce strain on your neck and spine. Bend with your knees, keep your back straight, and avoid hunching over during chores.

😁 Some of these cleaners are doing it right… and some may need a chiropractic adjustment after today!😅

Gardening shouldn’t be a pain in the neck… or back!

Good posture while gardening can help reduce strain on your spine, shoulders, hips, and knees. Whether you’re planting flowers, pulling weeds, or digging in the dirt, keeping your back straight and using proper body mechanics makes a huge difference!

✅ Bend with your knees
✅ Keep your core tight
✅ Avoid hunching over too long
✅ Take stretch breaks often
✅ Switch positions frequently

Bad gardening posture can lead to:
❌ Low back pain
❌ Neck stiffness
❌ Shoulder tension
❌ Hip discomfort
❌ Muscle fatigue

Your spine works hard-> even in the garden! 🌼🪴
