DID YOU KNOW YOUR POSTURE CAN AFFECT HOW YOU BREATHE?

Have you ever caught yourself leaning your head forward while looking at your phone, working at a computer, or driving?

This is called Forward Head Posture (FHP), and over time, it can contribute to neck tension, muscle fatigue, and changes in how comfortably you breathe.

Here are a few facts to know:🤓
1. Your head position matters! Your head and neck work together with the muscles that help support breathing.

2. Slouching can make breathing feel harder. A rounded upper back and forward head position may affect chest movement and the way your breathing muscles work.

3. Good posture supports better movement. Keeping your head balanced over your shoulders can help reduce unnecessary strain on your neck and upper back.

4. Small changes make a difference! Take screen breaks, bring your phone up closer to eye level, relax your shoulders, and take a few comfortable, slow breaths throughout the day.

At Wilson Clinic, we want to help you keep moving comfortably! Chiropractic care may help address certain neck and upper-back issues that contribute to postural discomfort.
