🦴🧡 Happy Assisted Living Week 2026! 🧡🦴

Today was Flintstones Day, and boy did we have a YABBA-DABBA-DOO good time here at Cedarhurst of Waterloo! 🪨🌴

From lots of laughs to plenty of Bedrock-style fun, we had a wonderful first day celebrating together!

We had such an amazing time today on our private tour of the Endangered Wolf Center! What a neat experience! The residents got to see several different types of wolves and foxes up close while learning so many interesting facts about these beautiful animals, their habitats, and conservation. 🐺🦊

We learned an awful lot, asked plenty of questions, and made some wonderful memories along the way. It was definitely an outing we won’t soon forget! ❤️

🎬🍿 Movie Night was a success! 🍿🎬

Tonight, our residents settled in for a showing of The Bodyguard! ❤️🎶

And what’s movie night without popcorn?! We got to put our NEW popcorn machine to good use, and fresh popcorn made the evening even better! 🍿

We had a wonderful turnout and were especially excited to have a few of our newer residents join us for the fun. ❤️ It was a great evening of relaxing, enjoying a classic movie, and spending time together.

🏈🏟️ KICKOFF TO FOOTBALL SOCIAL! 🏟️🏈

Today we got into the football spirit with our Kickoff to Football Social! 🎉

Our residents had a great time talking all things football, reminiscing about favorite teams, players, games, and football memories from over the years. We even put our knowledge to the test with some fun football trivia! 🏈🧠

And what’s a social without something delicious? Today also happens to be Colonel Sanders’ birthday, so naturally, Kentucky Fried Chicken was the perfect choice! 🍗🎂 It just made sense — football, good conversation, and some finger-lickin’ good chicken!

We had plenty of laughs, memories, and friendly football talk as we celebrated the start of another exciting season. ❤️🏈

🍦💕 OH SUGAR… WE HAD A SWEET AFTERNOON! 💕🍦

This afternoon, we loaded up and headed to our local ice cream shop, Oh Sugar, because sometimes you just NEED an ice cream outing! 😋🍨

We enjoyed some delicious ice cream, plenty of laughs, good conversation, and of course… trying to decide what flavor to get might have been the hardest part of the whole trip! 😂

We even had two special guests tag along with us — Amy and Paige! ❤️ We were so happy to have them join in on the fun!

Good friends + lots of laughs + ice cream = a pretty great afternoon in our book! 🍦🥰

Tonight, we hosted our Vendor Fair to raise money for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and we couldn’t be happier with the amazing turnout! 🛍️💜

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to shop, support our vendors, and help us raise money for such an important cause. Every purchase, donation, and show of support helps us get one step closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. 💜

We are also so proud of our residents who have been working hard over the past few months creating special handmade items for tonight’s event. Seeing their hard work on display and watching our community come together to support them made the evening even more special! 🥰

Thank you to all of our wonderful vendors, residents, families, staff, and community members who helped make tonight’s Shop to End Alzheimer’s such a success!

We started our morning off the best way possible—with a delicious breakfast outing to Denny’s! ❤️ Our residents enjoyed good food, plenty of coffee, lots of laughs, and even better company.

There’s just something special about getting out, sharing a meal together, and making sweet memories along the way. 🥰 We had such a wonderful morning and are already looking forward to our next adventure! 🚌✨
