Interesting!

🔊IT’S NOT REALLY A BRUISE!
One of the most visible side effects of cupping are the round pink-to-red-to-purplish blemishes left on the body from cups. Don’t worry, it’s not bruising!

Bruises occur from traumatic impact to the body and are generally painful. The circular colorations on the skin created from cupping are not from the result of impact, and shouldn’t be painful.

These circular blemishes are a result of stagnation as blood moves from deeper to more superficial areas of the body where it may be more easily recirculated.

What are examples of stagnation?

âś…Physical Stagnation: poor circulation, lymphatic congestion, digestive sluggishness, edema, excess mucus, areas of ischemia, bound fascia, lack of mobility, etc.

âś…Energetic Stagnation: procrastination, rumination, fatigue, depression, etc.

🔴🟤“Cupping kisses” / marks left from cupping usually take 3-5 days to fade away, a clear distinction from a bruise (which can about two weeks to fade).

Did someone say CUPS?

Did someone say CUPS?

Let’s take a look at CUPPING THERAPY, an ancient tool that has re-emerged.

What is it?
Suction cups are applied to the skin, creating negative pressure (suction) that helps lift and separate the fascial layers. This enhances blood flow, promotes lymphatic mobility, and helps the reduction of fascial restrictions/adhesions.

Cupping can help decrease pain by decompressing your physical and emotional body!
