Happy VT Appreciation Week!

We truly have some of the most amazing vision therapists, and we hope they know just how much they mean to us! The love, patience, encouragement, and care they pour into their patients every single day is something so special. They get to be part of some pretty incredible milestones, celebrate the little victories that turn into big ones, and help change lives in ways that go far beyond vision.

We see the hard work they put in, the connections they build, and the compassion in everything they do. We are so lucky to have them as part of our Elite family, and we honestly couldn’t imagine our team without them!

Did you know that early eye exams can play a big role in your child’s development?

A child’s visual system does so much more than just help them see clearly. It supports how they learn, move, focus, read, and interact with the world around them. In fact, vision guides early milestones like hand-eye coordination, tracking across a page, copying from the board, and even maintaining attention during tasks.

Early exams allow us to evaluate how the eyes work together and identify any concerns like eye teaming, tracking, or focusing skills before they begin to cause an impact. When needed, vision therapy can help strengthen and support those skills during some of the most important years of development.

A strong visual foundation sets the stage for success, and it all starts with an exam.

Did you know that a concussion can affect more than just how you feel? It can impact how you see and process the world around you.

Blurred vision, light sensitivity, double vision, headaches, and trouble focusing can be common complaints after experiencing a concussion, and even if everything seems fine, the visual system may still not be working the way it should.

For many patients recovering from a concussion, vision therapy can make a huge difference in getting back to school, work, and everyday life comfortably.

Saccades are the quick eye movements we use to shift focus from one point to another. They play a huge role in everyday tasks like reading, copying from the board, and scanning our environment.

We’re putting those eye movements to the test with a fun challenge! Activities like this help strengthen accuracy, speed, and coordination of saccadic eye movements, an important skill we often work on in vision therapy.
