This week, our Wisconsin Wildlife & Rehabilitation class welcomed back David Stokes for another hands-on learning experience!

This week focused on Wisconsin mammals, and David brought along some friendly mice for us to pet while teaching us about their behaviors and importance in our ecosystem. We also had the opportunity to explore a variety of animal hides from mammals found throughout Wisconsin, giving everyone a closer look at the incredible wildlife that calls our state home.

Thank you, David, for another engaging and educational program! We always enjoy learning from you.

Every great storefront starts with a great first impression!

In our Into the Looking Glass: Window Design class, we're learning how to tell a story through creative window displays. From sketching ideas to building eye-catching scenes, we use a wide variety of materials and tools—including hammers, sewing machines, glue guns, paint, lighting, the GloForge and more—to bring our visions to life.

This class blends creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on skills while transforming our storefront into an experience that invites the community in.

Creativity is woven together in our Interwoven class!

Here’s Kendall working alongside our dedicated volunteer, Mary, to create a one-of-a-kind handmade potholder. Kendall chose a classic black-and-white checkered design, bringing her own style and creativity into every stitch.

We love seeing the patience, focus, and artistic expression that happens when we slow down and create something by hand.

Our Wisconsin Wildlife & Rehabilitation class welcomed back David Stokes this week for another unforgettable wildlife experience!

This time, David introduced us to two amazing snakes—a ball python and an orange rat snake. We learned about each snake's unique characteristics, their important role in the environment, and even had the opportunity to safely touch and hold them!

Day two of the conference July 21st. We marched to the capitol with NCIL self-advocates. Upon arriving, we joined the rally where we heard from leaders in the disability rights community, including former Sentaor Tom Harkin, Congressman Robert "Bobby" Scott, Congresswoman Lateefah Simon, and other advocates and youth advocates.

Dear ACAP Supporters,

In March we posted on Facebook our intention to have a golf outing fundraiser this August. We have held this event the previous two years, and it served as a fun way to bring ACAP supporters together while providing vital funds for our programming.

Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen circumstance that interfered with our 2026 plans for this multi-faceted event, ACAP’s Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s golf outing. To those who were planning to attend the event, we apologize for the late notice.

Even though the golf outing is cancelled, there will be an opportunity to have a great time and support ACAP this fall – mark your calendars for this year’s Bowl-A-Thon, scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at Sunset Bowl. Your support the Bowl-A-Thon this year will be more important than ever.
