I've Never Felt This Way is a fun, hands-on class where we're exploring the art of felting!

We're learning the skills of both needle felting and wet felting while experimenting with colors, textures, and different techniques to create unique works of art.

Earlier this month, members and several of our classes worked together to bake over 100 sugar cookies with the accessible icon for an employee event at Quad Global Headquarters in Sussex to celebrate Disability Pride Month.

Members Kendall, Brooke, and Patrick dropped off the cookies to Devin and Andrew, who are part of the A.C.C.E.S.S Business Resource Group at Quad. The mission of A.C.C.E.S.S. is supporting differently abled individuals, employees with chronic illnesses, neurodivergent team members, and caregivers. They focus on
raising awareness and reducing stigmas around disabilities and chronic health conditions. They also advocate for workplace accommodations, accessibility resources, safe spaces, peer support, and education for caregivers and neurodivergent staff.

Our Let’s Mosh, You Punk! class had an unforgettable experience visiting the Milwaukee Public Library to explore their rare collection of concert posters with Tim Rush!

Tim shared the stories behind the posters, from unique band names and creative artwork to the history of Milwaukee’s music venues—many of which are no longer around today. We loved learning how these pieces preserve not only the music, but the memories and places that shaped Milwaukee’s music scene.

We left with a whole new list of bands to check out and so much inspiration from the multimedia approach behind the artwork. From hand-sketched Life on Other Planets posters created by a lead singer’s brother to the unique photography featured in Violent Femmes posters, we were inspired by all the ways artists tell stories through design.

Of course, we also had to stop for a photo with the library’s Disability Pride book collection!

A huge thank you to Tim for sharing his knowledge and helping us dive deeper into the world of punk music, art, and history. 🤘

This week, our Wisconsin Wildlife & Rehabilitation class welcomed back David Stokes for another hands-on learning experience!

This week focused on Wisconsin mammals, and David brought along some friendly mice for us to pet while teaching us about their behaviors and importance in our ecosystem. We also had the opportunity to explore a variety of animal hides from mammals found throughout Wisconsin, giving everyone a closer look at the incredible wildlife that calls our state home.

Every great storefront starts with a great first impression!

In our Into the Looking Glass: Window Design class, we're learning how to tell a story through creative window displays. From sketching ideas to building eye-catching scenes, we use a wide variety of materials and tools—including hammers, sewing machines, glue guns, paint, lighting, the GloForge and more—to bring our visions to life.

This class blends creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on skills while transforming our storefront into an experience that invites the community in.

Creativity is woven together in our Interwoven class!

Here’s Kendall working alongside our dedicated volunteer, Mary, to create a one-of-a-kind handmade potholder. Kendall chose a classic black-and-white checkered design, bringing her own style and creativity into every stitch.

Our Wisconsin Wildlife & Rehabilitation class welcomed back David Stokes this week for another unforgettable wildlife experience!

This time, David introduced us to two amazing snakes—a ball python and an orange rat snake. We learned about each snake's unique characteristics, their important role in the environment, and even had the opportunity to safely touch and hold them!
