Today, on Senior Citizens Day, we recognize the resilience, strength and wisdom older adults bring to our communities.

As we age, recovery after illness, injury or surgery can become more complex. Inpatient rehabilitation helps older adults rebuild strength, improve mobility and regain independence so they can return to the activities they enjoy most.

We're honored to support seniors and their families every step of the recovery journey.

🌟 PATIENT SUCCESS STORY: CONGRATULATIONS, DAVE! 🌟

Dave started his recovery journey with RHOW in March 2026 following a below-knee amputation. In early August, he returned to participate in our specialized prosthetic training program—and he was an absolute shining star! ⭐

Dave’s fierce determination, incredible work ethic, and vibrant love for life completely catapulted his progress. He inspired our entire team daily and left us all with a beautiful perspective on exactly what CAN be achieved with the right mindset. 💪

While Dave is graduating from our inpatient program, his journey doesn't stop here! He will continue crushing his goals in our Outpatient department.

We are so proud of you, Dave! Keep shining! 🎉🥳

🍦 FROM RECOVERY TO ICE CREAM RUNS: JOE’S INSPIRING JOURNEY! 🚗

In November 2025, Joe suffered a stroke that severely impacted his speech and the entire left side of his body. When he first arrived at RHOW for inpatient rehab, he could barely stand, could only walk a few steps with help, and had almost no movement in his left arm.

Look at Joe NOW with his amazing RHOW Outpatient Therapy team! 🎉

Today, Joe is back to:
* Cooking all the household meals 🍳
* Driving independently 🚘
* Grocery shopping and running errands 🛒
* Managing banking, bills, and medications 💼

Joe’s biggest motivation? He wanted to drive his wife, Rose, and their yellow lab, Molly, out for afternoon country rides and ice cream treats. Wish accomplished! ✨

Joe’s two golden rules for crushing his goals:
1️⃣ "Listen to the therapist and do the home exercises."
2️⃣ "Don’t feel sorry for myself and don’t give up."

We are incredibly proud of you, Joe! Thank you for inspiring us all. 💙
