We’re also grateful to have Teresa Iattoni, DPT, CLT, CES, a certified lymphedema therapist at PRO Physical Therapy & Hand Center, as part of our care team.

Approximately 1 in 5 breast cancer patients may develop lymphedema, making early detection and access to specialized care especially important. We’re proud to offer services to support patients affected by this condition throughout their recovery and beyond.

Whether you’re trimming bushes or raking up leaves, Beth Kroll, PT, shares a few essential tips to help keep you moving comfortably and injury-free all fall long:
🍁 Rake with your legs, not your back: Shift your weight side-to-side rather than twisting at the waist.
🍂 Keep loads manageable: Don't overfill yard bags—smaller, lighter loads save your spine and shoulders.
🍁 Switch sides frequently: Alternate your lead hand while raking to keep your muscles balanced.
🍂 Bend at the knees: Always hinge at your hips and drop your knees when lifting debris, rather than rounding your back.
