She also discusses plans for the Furry Friends Project, which would provide robotic companion pets to residents experiencing dementia, depression, or loneliness.

The conversation also highlights Fulton Manor's post-acute rehabilitation services, including specialized wound care, IV therapy, heart failure management, and convenient access to dialysis services, as well as opportunities for community members to get involved through volunteering.

We have an exciting new addition in OB... and no, it’s not these two. 👶😂

Our new birth announcement sign is officially up and ready for families to celebrate their newest arrivals! Families can personalize the sign with their baby’s information, snap a photo, and share their special moment with family and friends.

(And before anyone asks… congratulations are not necessary for our Marketing Director or Maintenance Department 😄)

On May 6, Fayette Local Schools hosted a full-scale tornado disaster exercise that simulated significant structural damage and multiple student injuries. The exercise provided a valuable opportunity for emergency responders, healthcare teams, and school personnel to put training into action in a realistic, coordinated environment.

A special thank you to the student volunteers who participated in the exercise, as well as Archbold Fire Dept., Morenci Fire Department, and the Gorham-Fayette Fire Department for their partnership and response. Their involvement helped create a highly realistic training environment, allowing emergency teams to work seamlessly together on patient care, transport, and on-scene operations.

Exercises like this are essential to testing preparedness, improving communication, and ensuring our teams are ready to respond when our community needs us most. We appreciate everyone involved for their continued commitment to emergency readiness and patient care.

Michelle shares more about important screening exams and imaging technology available close to home, including 3D mammography, breast MRI, low-dose CT lung screenings, CTA heart and calcium scoring exams, DEXA Advanced Body Composition scans, abdominal aorta screenings, virtual colonography, and more. She also highlights specialized imaging services available for expectant mothers through our 3D/4D ultrasound offerings.

This conversation focuses on the importance of early detection, preventative screenings, and helping patients access advanced medical imaging services right here in our community.

🌻In May, we celebrate the incredible oncology nurses who bring strength, compassion, and hope to patients and families throughout our community.

For more than 40 years, Fulton County Health Center's Oncology & Infusion Services team has been providing expert, personalized care close to home. From cancer treatments and survivorship support to infusion therapies and specialty injections, our team is dedicated to helping patients navigate every step of their journey with skill, empathy, and encouragement.

Together, our 11 oncology nurses bring an impressive 237 years of combined nursing experience, caring for hundreds of patients each month and helping hope grow every day.

Thank you to our oncology nurses and support staff for the difference you make in the lives of our patients and their families.
