Wow! I loved seeing what my clients decided to do with these tiles.

Session 1: My client really wanted to play with their Paw Patrol toys so we worked on creating houses for them. Targets: language and initial /s/

Session 2: My client decided to make a tower! We targeted s-blends in words: stand, stack, stop, stay.

One toy created such meaningful play while targeting our goals and having fun!!! 🙌🏼 So glad I followed their lead.

During this play based therapy session, we targeted Stage 1 Gestalts. My client loved collecting the items into one area. We played the way THEY wanted to play. Child-led play is a great way to elicit more natural language and provide models that are meaningful to them!

I have learned so much taking my course about gestalt language processing! 🙌🏼 Did you know silence is a GREAT tool to use during therapy or at home when playing with your child?

I often use this in my practice but knowing the benefits helps you realize how important it truly is. Have you tried to take step a back and really listen during play? Try it out and let me know what you think! 😀
